The Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province highly appreciated the series of humane activities of Tien Phong Marathon 2025.

Tien Phong Marathon 2025 officially started on March 28 with a series of meaningful activities: Offering incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Truong Son Cemetery, Road 9 Cemetery, Quang Tri Citadel; Flower lantern releasing ceremony on Thach Han River.

In an interview with Tien Phong newspaper reporter, Mr. Ha Sy Dong - Acting Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the tournament and emphasized that Tien Phong Marathon 2025 has a very important meaning for Quang Tri province in the context of the whole country competing to achieve the highest achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, 80th anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party and 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved Uncle Ho.

"Quang Tri province is very honored to be chosen by Tien Phong newspaper as the venue for the 66th tournament, thereby encouraging the sports training movement as well as helping to arouse patriotism, towards the fine traditions of the nation and the morality of remembering the source of drinking water, showing gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fell for national independence and unification," Mr. Ha Sy Dong shared.

Talking about the series of historical, cultural and social events organized by Tien Phong Marathon, the acting Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee said: "We acknowledge, appreciate and sincerely thank the Organizing Committee for carrying out a series of activities rich in humanity and having great social impact".

Mr. Ha Sy Dong - Acting Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, believes that Tien Phong Marathon 2025 will create "a special mark, creating new momentum, new enthusiasm and new spirit for Quang Tri province".

For this reason, Mr. Ha Sy Dong said that Quang Tri province realized the great responsibility of coordinating to organize a successful tournament. "We have assigned departments, branches, sectors and related units to carry out the preparation work well," he said, "As everyone has seen, the streets in Dong Ha city have been covered with information about the tournament, the running route is lined with flags and flowers and all the roads are cleaned, ready to welcome more than 7,000 athletes and tourists to Quang Tri.

In addition, Quang Tri province also arranged functional forces to ensure safety and security of the race track as well as medical and other logistics work. We hope that after the tournament, we will create a good impression, bringing the image of the homeland and heroic people of Quang Tri to compatriots nationwide and internationally.
