The Dai Ngai 1 bridge construction project is part of the Dai Ngai bridge construction investment project on National Highway 60 with a length of 15km, starting at the intersection with National Highway 54 in Hung Hoa commune, Tieu Can district, Tra Vinh province and ending at the intersection with Nam Song Hau national highway in Long Duc commune, Long Phu district, Soc Trang province.
According to project information, Dai Ngai 1 Bridge is the second largest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam, after Can Tho Bridge and equal to Vam Cong Bridge, and is also the bridge with the largest steel girder span in Vietnam. The construction contractor is a consortium: Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company - Trung Nam Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company - Thai Yen Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company - Thanh Long Group Joint Stock Company - Bac Trung Nam Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company - Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company - Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company 492 - Dinh An Group Limited Company.
As for package XL15 - construction of Dai Ngai 1 bridge and approach roads at both ends of the bridge under the Dai Ngai bridge construction investment project, the value is 3,867 billion VND, the implementation time is 1,250 days from the date of signing the construction contract. The project is expected to be completed in 2028.
Dai Ngai 1 Bridge is over 3km long. Of which, the main bridge is nearly 2.6km long, 21.5m wide, crossing Dinh An channel of Hau River.

The Dai Ngai Bridge Construction Investment Project is a Group A project, a special-grade road traffic project, with an investment capital of 7,962 billion VND from the State budget, invested by Project Management Board 85 - Ministry of Transport (MOT). The entire project has 5 intersections, 7 bridges, divided into 4 bidding packages.
When completed, Dai Ngai Bridge, together with Rach Mieu Bridge (Tien Giang - Ben Tre), Ham Luong Bridge (Ben Tre), and Co Chien Bridge (Ben Tre - Tra Vinh), will improve transportation capacity for the Mekong Delta, creating convenient traffic connections between the southern coastal provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, shortening travel time, reducing transportation costs, expanding trade, and breaking the monopoly of National Highway 1A.
According to calculations, the Dai Ngai bridge route helps shorten about 80 km compared to National Highway 1A when traveling from Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu to Ho Chi Minh City.
