Quang Ninh organizes many events to attract tourists during peak season

In the first two months of the year and the first half of March 2025, the province had about 50 programs, events and activities organized, including 3 provincial-level events and 47 local-level events. In the second half of March 2025 alone, 13 programs and events continued to take place, including 3 programs, events and activities to stimulate international, national and provincial tourism. It is expected that the total number of tourists in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at 5.5 million, including 1.45 million international visitors; total tourism revenue is estimated at 11,120 billion VND.

In the second quarter - the peak tourist attraction quarter, the Quang Ninh tourism industry aims to welcome 5.3 million visitors; total tourism revenue is estimated at 14,720 billion VND.

In particular, the number of tourists is expected to increase sharply, concentrated in early May and June, mainly in localities with strengths in sea and island tourism such as: Ha Long, Van Don, Co To, Mong Cai. To attract tourists during this peak season, the tourism industry organizes 55 programs and events, including 25 programs, events, and activities to stimulate international, national and provincial tourism. The activities are built on the unique characteristics of Quang Ninh.

Currently, businesses and units have planned and aimed to build a unique culinary brand of Quang Ninh, originating from the culinary festival programs, beer and squid spring rolls festivals that the province has organized before; at the same time, develop cruise tourism, exploit the full potential of the province's synchronous infrastructure; strongly promote the abundant potential of community tourism, create new products and increase competitiveness with destinations in the region.

Especially during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, 11 typical events will take place in Quang Ninh, such as: Ha Long Carnival 2025, Bach Dang Traditional Festival, Quang Ninh Ethnic Culture Festival 2025, National Excellent Archery Championship, Cuong Anh Cup Sports Dance Competition, Aqua Warriors HaLong Bay 2025, Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2025, Beer and Squid Festival, Hot Air Balloon Festival, Motorized Kite and Paragliding Festival, Ha Long City Lion and Dragon Festival, Uong Bi Summer Welcome Program, Mong Cai tourism activities "Imprints at the Fatherland's Headland" in 2025...

Notably, the art program "Legend of the Heritage Land" was held in Ha Long city, Mong Cai city and tourist areas and spots. The program includes traditional music and dance performances to promote the natural values, beauty, culture, history and people of Quang Ninh; strengthen communication, promote tourism promotion of the province to ensure the goal of developing tourism in a professional, quality, sustainable direction, linking tourism development with preserving and promoting national cultural values ​​and identities.

In particular, the province will launch tours to Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Ninh province in 2025 to create new tourism products as well as diversify experiences, extending the length of stay for visitors.

In addition, from March to June 2025, Quang Ninh will organize a series of activities and events within the Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 program, such as: Exhibition of paintings by Vietnamese and international artists combined with the Merea x Women Dior Collection (April - June 2025); auction of artworks to raise funds for the Heritage Protection Fund and the Climate Change Response Fund (April and June 2025); Opening ceremony of the Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 (June 2025); fashion show with the theme Art For Climate Runshow (June 2025); International Music Festival (June 2025); International culinary exchange (June 2025); "Art for climate marathon Ha Long 2025" (October 2025) ...

By 2025, Quang Ninh strives to attract 20 million tourists, including 4.5 million international visitors; total revenue from tourism activities is expected to reach over VND55,000 billion.
