‏Da Nang opens Asian Golf Tourism Convention 2025‏

Mr. Tan Van Vuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City said that Da Nang aims to develop high-quality tourism, including golf tourism, through continuously hosting and organizing large-scale events, typically the Golf Tourism Festival and focusing on the Asian Development Golf Tournament - BRG Open Golf Championship taking place from 2022 to 2024.

In 2025, Da Nang will continue to coordinate with the World Golf Tourism Association to host the second Asian Golf Tourism Congress 2025.

AGTC 2025 takes place from March 30 to April 5 with main activities such as: Survey program for golf travel agencies (March 31 - April 1); AGTC 2025 Golf Championship (April 2); Asian Golf Tourism Conference with more than 4,500 meetings between buyers and sellers (April 3-4); Da Nang City's reception and IAGTO Awards ceremony (April 4).

This is a valuable opportunity for Da Nang to introduce to international friends a dynamic, modern coastal city with outstanding tourism potential; promote golf tourism, along with a system of 5-star hotels and resorts and beautiful nature.

This event will help Da Nang affirm its position on the regional and international golf tourism map, opening up many opportunities for cooperation and investment in developing golf tourism and luxury tourism.

According to Mr. Peter Walton - President of the World Golf Tourism Association, when AGTC first came to Da Nang in 2017, there were only 4 golf courses, but 8 years later, he returned and witnessed the development into 8 international-class golf courses.

Golf tourism here is not only growing in the number of golf courses but also in the increasing number of golf rounds. In 2024, the total number of golf rounds at the Central courses will reach 387,000 rounds, an increase of 13.8% compared to 2023; it is expected to reach 410,000 rounds in 2025, an increase of more than 10% in 2024.

AGTC 2025 continues to affirm the attractiveness of the host city when attracting more than 450 delegates, far exceeding the 340 delegates of AGTC 2024 in Abu Dhabi.

"We knew that Da Nang would be an attractive destination for the 11th AGTC, but we did not expect such great interest," said Mr. Peter Walton.
