On September 5, to proactively prevent and combat storm No. 3, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province Cao Tuong Huy requested localities and units to implement a sea ban from 11:00 a.m. tomorrow (September 6).

Accordingly, the Department of Transport of Quang Ninh, Quang Ninh Maritime Port Authority, Inland Waterways Port Authority, and People's Committees of coastal localities stop granting licenses for watercraft to go to sea.

This afternoon, storm No. 3 Yagi is in the North East Sea, about 500km east of Hainan Island (China). The storm intensity is level 16 (super typhoon level), gusting over level 17. This is a very strong storm with a wide circulation. It is expected that around the afternoon and night of September 7, the storm will move inland from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh.

Previously, on the afternoon of September 3, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the telegram of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee issued an official dispatch on strengthening the direction of prevention, control and response to storm No. 3.
