In recent years, under the active leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the emulation movement "Quang Ngai for the poor - No one is left behind" has been effectively implemented by all levels and sectors, with rich content and forms, suitable to reality; promoting the creativity of localities, units, and people of all walks of life; mobilizing resources from the entire political system and society. Thanks to that, the poverty rate of the province by the end of 2022 has decreased to 7.8%, and is estimated to decrease to 6.68% by the end of 2023.
From 2021 to August 2023, the "For the Poor" Fund has mobilized and used 59.5 billion VND to carry out sustainable poverty reduction work. Of which, supporting poor households to build 697 new houses, worth nearly 40 billion VND; repairing 158 houses, worth 2 billion VND. Helping poor households develop production with more than 7 billion VND; supporting medical examination and treatment with nearly 3.3 billion VND; supporting students to go to school with more than 3.6 billion VND; other support with 23 billion VND. Units, organizations and individuals implementing social security programs in the locality with nearly 80 billion VND.

The emulation movement “Quang Ngai for the poor - No one left behind” has been widely deployed throughout the province. Poverty reduction policies have been proactively developed and implemented by agencies, units and localities. The poor and near-poor have all benefited from the right policies, and access to social services has become increasingly convenient.
At this conference, delegates listened to presentations on implementation methods and appropriate solutions in advising, directing and promoting the movement from the province to the grassroots. Some localities presented good and creative ways to replicate advanced models; support social security for disadvantaged groups and the poor.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Huu Dung emphasized that after this conference, the department will coordinate with relevant units to continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct and replicate good models and effective methods to continue to spread, arouse the will of self-reliance, self-reliance, promote internal strength to escape poverty, build a prosperous life for people and the community. Create a strong change in awareness and action, consciousness, responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society towards sustainable poverty reduction.
