At Huc Kindergarten, representatives of the Economic Department kindly asked about the health, study and living situation of the children; at the same time presented 2 gifts to 2 children Ho Ai Ho and Ho Van Huu including: jam, cakes, candies, clothes, toys and cash worth 4 million VND.
Previously, in the 2023-2024 school year, while working in Huc commune, Quang Tri Newspaper reporters learned about the difficult circumstances of two students, Ho Ai Ho (born in 2020) and Ho Van Huu (born in 2020).
Specifically, Ho Ai Ho is currently living with his grandparents, who are poor households in the locality because his mother left when he was less than 3 months old, his father has no stable job, and is often away from home. Ho Van Huu is the youngest child in a large family, his father is often sick, his mother has no job, and does not have much land to cultivate. Huu's family is poor in the locality.
Faced with the difficult circumstances of the two children, the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper has sponsored and supported the two children with boarding meals and milk starting from December 2023 to May 2024 with a support level of 3 million VND/child (6 months). In addition, Ho Ai Ho is also supported with breakfast money of 1.2 million VND/5 months starting from January to May 2024.
In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper continues to call for and mobilize more support from kind-hearted individuals to maintain sponsorship and support for Ho Ai Ho and Ho Van Huu from September 2024 to the end of May 2025 with a support level of 4.5 million VND/child/9 months to help the children have more conditions and health to go to school. On this occasion, the representative of the Economic Department also presented 100 warm coats with a total value of 10 million VND to the children studying at Huc Kindergarten.
To encourage and share the difficulties with Mr. Ho A Dinh's family in Huc Thuong village, the representative of the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper presented a gift including jam, cakes, warm clothes, necessities and cash with a total value of 1.5 million VND. At the same time, the Quang Tri Newspaper agency presented support money to the address in need of help of 1.5 million VND; and the Quang Tri Newspaper readers presented support money of 200 thousand VND.
Mr. Ho A Dinh and his wife, Mrs. Ho Thi Hoat, are currently suffering from brain and neurological diseases and are not healthy enough to work. They have three children in primary school, and their lives and studies are full of difficulties. The family's main source of income depends on Mrs. Hoat's work collecting dry firewood to sell, along with the care and support of teachers, neighbors, and philanthropists.
This is the case that was reported by Quang Tri Newspaper reporters in the "Addresses for help" column of Quang Tri Newspaper through the article "Three Van Kieu children need support". In addition, starting from September 2024, reporters of the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper called on and mobilized kind-hearted individuals to support Mr. Dinh's family with rice and monthly necessities; mobilized volunteer groups and clubs inside and outside the province to give gifts and cash with a total value of nearly 15 million VND.
Touched when receiving meaningful gifts in the first days of the new year, Mr. Ho A Dinh shared: “My wife and I are in poor health, and our children are still very young, so life is very difficult and deprived. The timely encouragement and support from Quang Tri Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper readers will help my family stabilize their lives and give our children more conditions to continue going to school.”
The program "Quang Tri Newspaper's Compassionate Arms" has recently created a very positive effect, mobilizing the cooperation and support of the less fortunate from the staff, reporters of Quang Tri Newspaper, individuals, organizations, and charitable businesses, thereby contributing to the province's good implementation of social security work.
