The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has just announced that the head coach of the Vietnam national team, Mr. Kim Sang-sik, will lead the ASEAN All-Stars team to play a friendly match against Manchester United at the Maybank Challenge Cup, which will take place on May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Malaysia).
After leading the Vietnamese team to an absolute victory, winning the ASEAN Cup 2024, his appointment to lead the ASEAN All-Stars is a testament to the excellence and trust he has built in the football community.

AFF President – Lieutenant General Khiev Sameth – affirmed: "Mr. Kim is a professional role model, inspiring both players and fans in Southeast Asia".
For his part, head coach Kim Sang-sik said: "It is a great honor to lead the best players from all ASEAN countries in a match of such importance. We are not only representing our countries but also showing the world the pride, spirit and strength of our region."

This is a special football event, aiming to honor the spirit of regional solidarity and connect ASEAN cultures through sports.
The ASEAN All-Stars team brings together the best players from the 12 AFF member associations. The event also has a humanitarian meaning as it raises funds to support the YASA charity in Malaysia.
