On the evening of November 14, after the 0-0 draw between PVF-CAND Club and Ho Chi Minh City Youth Team, social media was in an uproar over information released by PVF-CAND Club that striker Xuan Nam (PVF-CAND) was beaten by Vu Van Son (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Team) until he bled.
A representative of PVF-CAND told Thanh Nien Newspaper that after the match ended, while the team was in the tunnel, player Vu Van Son of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Team rushed in and hit Xuan Nam. The team then intervened. Xuan Nam suffered a torn lip and was bleeding. Nam will also be taken for a more detailed examination. The team is requesting to extract the camera footage from Thong Nhat Stadium.

Before the incident, Xuan Nam, a striker for PVF-CAND, often confronted center back Van Son of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Team. The two sides clashed and argued right on the field.

At 10 p.m. the same day, Coach Tran Duy Quang of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Team shared with Thanh Nien Newspaper: "At the time of the incident, I was preparing to enter the press conference room so I did not witness it with my own eyes. But later, I returned and asked the player again and heard that Xuan Nam was the one who provoked and hit first. Van Son was also bleeding. I also reminded my student after this incident. Before that, on the field, Xuan Nam also provoked Van Son. During the break, I also reminded Van Son to stay calm."
