Trang Bao Xa Commune Women's Union (Quynh Phu) gives gifts to women in difficult circumstances.

Entering the fourth year, 12-year-old Luu Quang Bac in Xuan La village has a very special situation and receives monthly support and care from the staff and members of the Women's Union of the commune. His parents left him to live with his grandmother since he was born. The life of the two grandmothers and grandchild has become more difficult as his grandmother is getting older and weaker and is nearly 80 years old. Understanding the situation, the Women's Union of the commune has adopted him, given him rice every month, supported him with 1.8 million VND/year, in addition, the school supports him with books and school supplies. Currently, the whole commune has 8 orphans in difficult circumstances who have been adopted, with a support budget of 1.8 million VND/child/year from monthly savings and support from benefactors and volunteer organizations joining hands to support, share love, and help the children have a foundation to overcome their circumstances and grow up.

Ms. Bui Thi Lam, President of the Women's Union of Trang Bao Xa commune, said: The entire Union currently has 2,974 members, operating in 13 branches. The Union always identifies studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as a key task, so as soon as it began operating stably, the Union's Executive Committee directed the branches, especially key cadres, to uphold the spirit of being exemplary, closely following the members, and continuing to effectively maintain the movements and models launched by the Union. The movement of women actively studying, working creatively, building happy families, and building "5 no, 3 clean" families has been deployed and implemented effectively, attracting 100% of cadres and 90% of members to participate. The Association focuses on building savings models following Uncle Ho's example, not only creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of women but also contributing to spreading and promoting good traditional moral values, the spirit of mutual love to local people to support poor children and women in difficult circumstances. In 2024, the model "Raising humane plastic pigs" with an amount of over 2.6 million VND/year helped 8 members in difficult circumstances; the model "Following children to school" helped 2 students with an amount of 2 million VND; the model "Charity rice jar" donated 180kg of rice to 15 women in difficult circumstances; the model "Helping poor women have an address" was maintained and donated 57 gifts and 8 health insurance cards for women worth 11.3 million VND.

The branches actively built a savings model for the association fund in many forms with a contribution of 151,000 VND/member/year, 13/13 branches have a savings fund with an amount of over 400 million VND to support women in the commune to borrow capital. The commune Women's Union has also guaranteed with the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office for 110 members to borrow over 7 billion VND, the amount of savings through the group is 165 million VND. Thanks to the support of the organization, many effective economic development models for women have emerged, such as the sedge weaving model for export of Ms. Vu Thi Nhuan, Head of the Khang Ninh Village Women's Union. Ms. Nhuan shared: As a branch officer, I am always exemplary, upholding the spirit of learning from Uncle Ho to save to help women in difficult circumstances; but I always consider that helping is not just for a short time but for the long term. Realizing that many women do not have the conditions to work in the company due to family circumstances or raising young children, I was determined to learn the craft of weaving sedge for export to bring the craft back to my hometown, solving employment for women. In 2017, partly thanks to the loan support of the Association, my family's sedge weaving facility went into operation, creating jobs for 70 women in difficult circumstances in the locality and neighboring communes with an income of 1.5 - 2 million VND/month. Annually, after deducting expenses, the family's income is about 80 million VND.

Learning and following Uncle Ho has now become a regular activity of members and women in Trang Bao Xa commune, not only helping women bond and help each other to improve their lives but also contributing to economic development, improving the quality of life, building progressive, prosperous, equal, happy families, joining hands to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas in the locality.
