According to Resolution No. 1241 dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, from January 1, 2025, Phu Ninh established Phu Thinh town (new) on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Tam Vinh commune (natural area is 13.84 km ² , population is 5,607 people) into the current Phu Thinh town. After merging, Phu Thinh town has a natural area of ​​20.32 km ² and a population of 10,928 people (reducing 1 commune-level administrative unit).

At the conference, the Standing Committee of Phu Ninh District Party Committee announced the Decision to establish Phu Thinh Town Party Committee under Phu Ninh District Party Committee; Decision to transfer Party organization, Party members and appoint the new Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of Phu Thinh Town Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Van Tham - Secretary of Phu Ninh District Party Committee requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to focus on doing a good job of propagating Resolution No. 1241. Carry out the arrangement and consolidation of the organization and staff to ensure the principle of unification of Party organizations, agencies and organizations, meeting the requirements of preparing for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, towards the 22nd Phu Ninh District Party Congress.
