On January 9, some parents whose children study at Phan Ngoc Hien High School (Nam Can District, Ca Mau) were upset and complained to Thanh Nien reporters that the school was slow in purchasing health insurance even though they had paid in full since the beginning of the school year.
Ms. TNA (residing in Tan An Tay Commune, Ngoc Hien District) said that her family paid for health insurance for her child at Phan Ngoc Hien High School since the beginning of the school year. After enrolling for more than a month, while playing with friends, her child injured his hand, so she took him to a local medical facility for examination. At this time, she just discovered that her child's health insurance had expired. After she reported it, the school added the requirement to buy health insurance for her child.

According to Mr. T., even though there were mistakes, the school leaders did not apologize or ask about the situation. When the family called to complain, they were told harsh words.

Phan Ngoc Hien High School has 42 classes with nearly 1,700 students. This is one of the most crowded schools in Ca Mau province.

A teacher of the school has denounced a series of violations by the school, including: not developing internal spending regulations for the 2024-2025 school year; not implementing the 3-public plan as prescribed and lacking transparency in financial revenue and expenditure; not paying tuition fees for students in disadvantaged areas...
