Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and four Ministers answer questions

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and the Ministers of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Science and Technology; Transport; and the Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee will answer questions at the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly.

The question-and-answer session will begin on the morning of June 6 and last for 2.5 days with four groups of issues. Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai will participate in clarifying related issues and answering questions from National Assembly deputies.

The first group of issues was answered by Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung. The content included solutions to develop high-quality human resources to meet the development requirements of the industry and sector; planning and restructuring the training quality of vocational training institutions; the current employment situation and solutions to remove obstacles in job creation for workers.

Minister Dung also informed about solutions to overcome limitations in the field of social insurance (enterprises evading payment, appropriation, and debt of social insurance premiums, collusion, false establishment, and falsification of insurance benefit records, and incorrect payment of benefits); the management of the Social Insurance Fund; and solutions to overcome the increasing trend of employees withdrawing social insurance benefits at one time.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Ministers of Finance, Planning and Investment, Education and Training, and Home Affairs participated in answering questions.

The second group of issues related to ethnic groups was answered by Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh. The content included the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development for the 2021-2025 period; sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021-2025 period; and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2030 period.

Mr. Hau A Lenh also informed about the policy of attracting resources to support investment in the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, areas with difficult socio-economic conditions; solutions to remove obstacles in ethnic policies; solving difficulties in residential land and production land for ethnic minorities, overcoming the situation of spontaneous nomadic migration, shifting cultivation, and deforestation.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Home Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development, Transport, Construction, Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Information and Communications, Natural Resources and Environment, and the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam participated in answering related content.

The third group of issues answered by Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat included national science and technology development strategy; solutions for applying advanced science and technology products, socio-economic development, especially in the agricultural sector.

Minister Huynh Thanh Dat will also answer delegates' questions about the management and use of the budget for scientific research; transfer of scientific research results of research units, institutes and schools; mechanisms and policies to encourage private investment in research and application of science and technology.

Also participating in answering questions on this group of issues were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, the Ministers of Finance, Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Education and Training, Information and Communications, explaining related issues.

The fourth group of issues answered by Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang included solutions to improve the transport infrastructure system, limit traffic accidents, reduce congestion in big cities; inspection activities, remove difficulties, and improve the quality of inspection work for road and inland waterway motor vehicles.

Mr. Thang also answered questions about transport management, vehicle quality; training, testing, granting, revoking and managing licenses to operate road and inland waterway vehicles.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Construction, Science and Technology, Public Security, and National Defense participated in answering questions.

This is the first time Minister Nguyen Van Thang has answered questions before the National Assembly.

A week ago, National Assembly Secretary General Bui Van Cuong sent a ballot asking for delegates' opinions on choosing 4 out of 5 groups of issues to question at the 5th session, including a group of issues in the judicial field.
