According to the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park, up to now, this unit has 161 valid projects. Of these, there are 71 production projects, 18 service projects, 20 research and development (R&D) projects, 8 training and incubation projects, 23 supporting industry projects, 10 trade-service projects and 11 infrastructure projects.
The projects focus on four priority areas: microelectronics-information technology-telecommunications, precision mechanics-automation, biotechnology, and new materials-energy.
Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park also attracted 10 leading high-tech corporations to invest such as: Intel, Jabil, Rockwell Automation (USA), Nidec, Nipro, NTT (Japan), Samsung (Korea), Sonion (Denmark), Datalogic (Italy), Sanofi (France), and TTI (Germany).

Along with that, Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park has gradually built a high-tech and innovative ecosystem... as a driving force to promote sustainable growth not only for Ho Chi Minh City but also for the whole country.
However, in the process of implementing scientific and technological development, this unit still faces many difficulties and problems such as lack of forecasting of scientific and technological development; difficulties in transferring technology (formed from the state budget) to enterprises due to difficulties in valuing technological results...
To motivate the development of science and technology, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park recommends decentralizing to the provincial level to research and develop a list of high technologies, a list of strategic technologies prioritized for investment and development, and related policies.
Supplementing regulations on principles for determining costs for research and development activities at enterprises, regulations on publicizing expenses for research and development activities of enterprises in the High-Tech Park.
At the same time, legalize orientations on developing high-tech zones into science and technology parks, industrial zones into high-tech zones...
Appreciating the achieved results, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan said that Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park is a place leading high technology not only for Ho Chi Minh City but also for the whole country.
The delegation conducted field surveys to listen to feedback on the development of science, technology, innovation, as well as digital transformation, thereby building the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation in the best way.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park should not only be confined within the unit but also need to spread outwards, promoting the private economic sector to do research and development.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park needs to have open space in science and technology for all experts, institutes, and businesses to come and do research, not just simply attract businesses to invest.
This helps businesses apply science and technology in the best way, while also expanding the mission of the High-Tech Park in spreading the application of science and technology to the outside.
