Having bought a 7-seater car worth about 700 million VND for 2 years now, every day Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong's family wakes up early, loading the car with stuff until the trunk is full. Ms. Huong said that her family has a 3-generation tradition of doing this job. Her mother-in-law sells sticky rice. Later, she continued the tradition and now her son, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law join in. "At 4:30 a.m., my whole family sets off, 50kg of sticky rice is divided into 4 baskets, each person goes in a different direction. I go to sell in Kim Ma, the rest go all the way to Soc Son, and some go to Bac Ninh."

A portion of sticky rice costs an average of 10,000-20,000 VND, and is made by a woman with nearly ten years of experience in just a few dozen seconds. Ms. Do My Thinh (Dong Anh, Hanoi) is a loyal customer who loves eating sticky rice with xeo, saying: "In addition to breakfast, when my family has a party, I also come here to buy sticky rice. Phu Thuong sticky rice, even when it cools, still retains its softness and aroma."

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, President of Phu Thuong Craft Village Association, in recent years, the number of people cooking sticky rice to sell in the village has increased, including many young people, from the 9X generation. On average, each worker has a stable income of about 300,000 VND/day. There are also people with higher incomes from making feasts, but not many.

The cases of people using cars to sell sticky rice in the village originate from the desire to sell further, to neighboring provinces. However, to buy cars to travel, many families also have to borrow from banks and save for many years.
