Restoring and developing traditional occupations in Binh Thuan in conjunction with the implementation of agricultural and rural development programs and projects. Supporting the development of rural occupation products and craft villages in conjunction with the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program... These are the targets of the Plan to implement the "Rural Occupation Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045" in Binh Thuan recently issued by the Provincial People's Committee.

Contribute to rural economic development

In addition, the plan of the Provincial People's Committee also sets the target of increasing the average income of workers in rural industries by 2.5 - 3 times compared to 2020 by 2030. By 2045, rural industries will continue to be income-generating activities, creating jobs for rural workers, contributing to the overall growth of the province... Therefore, when implemented in Binh Thuan, it will promote the potential of rural areas, improve production and business efficiency, increase income, create jobs and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.

The plan is also aimed at supporting the development of rural industry products associated with the local OCOP Program (Illustration photo).

According to the orientation, rural industry groups that will be focused on development in the coming period include: Processing and preserving agricultural, forestry and aquatic products; Production of handicrafts and production groups of wooden products, rattan and bamboo, ceramics, glass, textiles, yarn, embroidery, knitting, small mechanics. In addition, a number of other industry groups will be developed such as: Processing and processing raw materials for rural industry production; Production and trading of ornamental plants; Salt production; Services for production and rural residents' lives. In addition, we will also focus on preserving and restoring traditional occupations and craft villages that are at risk of fading away, associated with tourism, and product consumption orientation.

To develop rural industries in Binh Thuan to bring about the expected results, the plan also proposes solutions on information and propaganda, policies, reorganization of production and formation of creative centers. Or solutions on environmental protection associated with rural tourism development, building concentrated raw material areas, promoting trade and expanding markets...

Promote implementation in localities

Regarding this content, some localities have promoted the development of a Plan to implement the "Strategy for developing rural industries to 2030, with a vision to 2045" in the area according to the province's orientation. For example, Ham Thuan Bac district has set a target of bringing the rate of trained workers in various forms to over 75% by 2030 (of which the rate of being granted degrees and certificates is 35%), and the rate of rural workers having jobs after vocational training is 80% or more. Strive to form concentrated and stable raw material areas to meet 70% of the demand for developing rural industries as well as expanding and developing markets, especially export markets... Next is to focus on developing rural industries in a sustainable, smart, and environmentally friendly direction, associated with building a green - clean - beautiful rural space, preserving and promoting the traditional cultural and historical values ​​of the locality. For the preservation and development of craft villages, the existing "Phu Long rice paper" craft village will be maintained, the "Ham Hiep yellow apricot" craft village will be formed, vegetable production craft villages will be established in communes and towns (Phu Long, Ham Duc, Hong Son) and the weaving and brocade weaving craft will be established in ethnic minority areas.

Similar goals are also set for the mountainous area of ​​Tanh Linh, aiming to continue to make rural industries an income-generating activity, creating jobs for rural workers, contributing to the overall growth of the district. Regarding handicraft production and the group of wooden, rattan and woven products, the orientation is to create new product designs from local materials such as bamboo, rattan, palm leaves, wood, wood roots... As for the group of production and trading of ornamental plants, a specialized area for production and trading of ornamental plants will be formed, aiming to create unique flower and ornamental plant products that suit people's tastes...
