At the Government press conference on the afternoon of September 30, Deputy Minister of Construction - Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh said that immediately after the particularly serious fire occurred on Khuong Ha street, the Government, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi city and localities across the country have launched a drastic review.
Through inspection, the authorities discovered many violations. To solve the existing problems, ministries, branches and localities have also issued many instructions, but the important issue now is how to solve the problems related to the type of "mini apartments".

Mr. Sinh emphasized that regarding housing, the current legal regulations are complete, however, the implementation in localities in reality is not yet serious. Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to "take strong action" to rectify and strictly handle violations.
Accordingly, Mr. Sinh emphasized that localities need to urgently urge homeowners to have investment solutions. First of all, renovate to block parking areas and exits for residents.
“ We must block off these two areas and at the same time invest in a system of stairs and emergency exits. These are things that need to be done immediately to ensure the safety of the people ,” Mr. Sinh said, emphasizing that recently in some places, people have also invested in emergency exit stairs.
Along with that, it is necessary to invest in fire prevention and fighting equipment systems such as checking and renovating the electrical system to ensure no fire or explosion, and to ensure no overload.
In addition, it is necessary to invest in additional fire prevention and fighting equipment and tools such as gas masks, and increase training for residents in apartment buildings to respond promptly and avoid unfortunate consequences.
The Deputy Minister of Construction also said that the management and operation of apartment buildings must be given attention.
