Launch of My Portfolio Contest

The My Portfolio - Investment Portfolio Competition is organized with the promise of bringing about the standardization of stock portfolio construction methods from members of the Vietnam Financial Advisors (VWA) Community around the world.

Nowadays, many people in the financial market often say “investment is a journey”, which means that the journey in the market has ups and downs and investors should pay attention to their long-term goals. In the context of the economy facing many fluctuations, it is extremely necessary to clearly identify important variables affecting the economy to build a proactive and flexible investment scenario. Each individual needs to build a careful and sustainable investment portfolio, carefully select investment products from reputable units, and strictly manage risks to suit their own taste.

Following the success of season 1, the "My Portfolio - Investment Portfolio" Contest is organized with the promise of bringing the goal of standardizing the method of building stock portfolios from VWA members all over the world, so that everyone can give their views on building investment portfolios and evaluate the effectiveness of diversifying their own portfolios, thereby contributing knowledge and experience to the community.

How to enter the contest

A member writes an analysis article about a portfolio of stocks listed on the Vietnamese stock market (from 4 to 7 stocks) posted on the Vietnam Financial Advisor Community Group.

Different members are allowed to analyze the same portfolio of multiple stocks (which can be duplicate stocks). A member can analyze multiple entries corresponding to multiple investment portfolios with different strategies.

Suggested content may include:

• How to determine your risk profile (your risk tolerance)

• The main risks that the author expects portfolio diversification to minimize (macro volatility risks, industry-specific risks, corporate operating risks, governance risks, stock price volatility risks, etc.)

• Portfolio construction time, portfolio restructuring frequency (portfolio turnover) and reasons

• Portfolio fluctuations through market and economic cycles

• Investment efficiency and experiences and lessons learned when participating in the market

• Analyze industry factors that affect the company

Time of organization

• August 12, 2024: Official launch of the contest

• August 12 - September 12, 2024: Accepting entries

• September 14, 2024: Announcement and awarding of the contest at the WeTalk program "What to invest in at the end of 2024?"

Judging criteria

• 25%: 1 Like ~ 1 point, 1 Comment ~ 2 points, 1 Share ~ 3 points.

• 75%: Quality of the article is scored by the judges on a 100-point scale.

• The decision of the jury is final.

Main Prize

• Investment Expert Award: 3,000,000 VND, 01 WiChart Full-featured account for 6 months worth 10,000,000 VND, Certificate of Merit and 1 gift from VWA & sponsors.

• Professional Investor Award: 2,000,000 VND, 01 WiChart Full-featured account for 6 months worth 10,000,000 VND, Certificate of Merit and 1 gift from VWA & sponsors.

• Promising Investor Award: 1,000,000 VND, 01 WiChart Full-featured account for 3 months worth 6,000,000 VND, Certificate of Merit and 1 gift from VWA & sponsors.

Consolation prize

• Most Popular Article Prize: 500,000 VND.

• Best Growth Stock Portfolio Award (During the competition): VND 500,000.

VWA members participating in the contest will be given priority to attend the Wetalk program: "What to invest in at the end of 2024?" on September 15, 2024 in Hanoi.

Rules for participating articles

• Entries must include the hashtag #MyPortfolio #Danhmucdautu #VWA #Finavi #HSC

• Contest entries must use clear language, in accordance with Vietnamese customs and traditions.

• The article must be new, not published/broadcast in any newspaper, radio or social networking site, and not submitted to another writing contest.

• Contestants are responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the content of their entries.

• Articles must be at least 400 words long and include illustrative images or videos.

• The Portfolio Competition is just one of the sources of information for making relevant decisions, and the purpose of the competition is to provide professional knowledge and share practical experiences. Therefore, we disclaim responsibility for participants/followers using, referencing, or referring to the data information in this competition of ours in any form.

• The Organizing Committee has the right to use your entry in the media. During the organization process, depending on actual conditions, the Organizing Committee can adjust the rules accordingly. The final decision belongs to the Organizing Committee.
