Allocating more than 92.7 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

(Baoquangngai.vn) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to allocate more than 92.7 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province to the People's Committees of districts. The additional central budget has a target; the budget cuts and saves 5% of regular expenditures in 2024 at the provincial and district levels.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to be responsible for managing and using the allocated funds for the right purposes and objects, and for clearing and settling the funds according to regulations. Use funds from the 5% savings in regular expenditures in 2024 at the district level to implement support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Finance.

The People's Committee of Duc Pho Town and Quang Ngai City uses the 5% savings in regular expenditures in 2024 of the town and city to implement support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Finance. Complete the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area according to Plan No. 220/KH-UBND dated November 15, 2024 of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province.

According to statistics, Quang Ngai still has over 6,600 households in need of support to build new and repair houses. The total cost of implementation is nearly 330 billion VND, of which the state budget is over 270 billion VND, the rest is mobilized from social sources. To date, the whole province has built new and repaired more than 1,300 houses, reaching a rate of about 20%. In particular, Ba To district completed the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in March 2025. Other localities committed to speed up the implementation progress and complete it before June 30, 2025.
