PetroVietnam ensures strategic goods

By constantly expanding its scale of operations and perfecting the oil and gas value chain and supply chain, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) has ensured the supply of strategic goods, especially key products such as crude oil, gas, electricity and gasoline, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development goals.

This is the result of great efforts by businesses in the context of high economic demand.

PetroVietnam's production and business results in May and the first five months of 2023 maintained impressive growth momentum.

Crude oil exploitation in May 2023 reached 0.92 million tons, exceeding the monthly plan by 15.6%, up 2.6% compared to April 2023 and equal to the same period in 2022. In the first five months of 2023, the entire Group is estimated to reach 4.41 million tons, exceeding the plan by 13.7% and equal to 47.5% of the annual plan.

Of which, domestic crude oil exploitation reached 0.77 million tons, exceeding the monthly plan by 18.5%, up 3% compared to April 2023, up 0.8% over the same period in 2022. In the first five months, domestic crude oil exploitation reached 3.66 million tons, exceeding the five-month plan by 16.3%, equal to 48.6% of the annual plan.

Gas exploitation in May 2023 is estimated at 0.73 billion m3, exceeding the plan by 24.5%, up 0.6% compared to April 2023 and up 78.5% over the same period in 2022. In the first five months of 2023, the Group's gas exploitation is estimated at 3.42 billion m3, exceeding the five-month plan by 21.2%, equal to 57.6% of the 2023 plan.

The above results show the effectiveness of PetroVietnam and its member units in applying technical measures to maintain production output while still ensuring mine safety.
