Mr. Trump nominates a series of new personnel

CBS News reported on December 5 that US President-elect Donald Trump has just chosen billionaire Jared Isaacman, the first private astronaut to walk in space and a close friend of billionaire Elon Musk, to lead the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Mr. Isaacman is the founder of payment processing company Shift4 Payments and co-founder of fighter jet manufacturer Draken International.

In other positions, Mr. Trump chose Professor Michael Faulkender at the University of Maryland as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, former advisor Peter Navarro as senior advisor on trade and manufacturing, former Congressman Billy Long as commissioner of the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and Gail Slater, advisor to Vice President-elect JD Vance, as head of the antitrust division.

Trump also picked former Senator Kelly Loeffler to head the Small Business Administration, and Fiserv Financial Services Chairman Frank Bisignano to head the Social Security Administration. In addition, veteran Daniel Driscoll was picked by Trump to be Secretary of the Army.
