With 20 years of working in the team, Ms. Vo Thi Mai (born in 1981) - Team Leader of Vo Liem Son Primary School (Thien Loc Commune, Can Loc, Ha Tinh) always feels full of energy and happiness when being the one to "create" the joy of going to school for students.
Entering the new school year, Ms. Vo Thi Mai received great joy when she was selected by the Provincial Youth Union as the only leader in charge of taking exemplary team members to attend the program: the first simulated session of the Children's National Assembly, organized by the Central Youth Union in Hanoi.
Ms. Vo Thi Mai - female Team Leader passionate about innovation.
For her, this memorable trip was not only an opportunity to interact and get to know the leaders in charge of the provinces and cities across the country. Moreover, this was also an opportunity for her to listen to the voices, thoughts and understanding of the team members. From there, she accumulated more experience in the movement activities.
Ms. Mai said: "To fulfill their roles and tasks well, in addition to enthusiasm and dedication, teachers in charge of the Youth Union must be dynamic and constantly innovate. Therefore, training sessions and trips for me are great opportunities to exchange, learn, and expand my knowledge. And the trip to Hanoi in the first days of the school year is one of those opportunities."
Ms. Mai and 4 outstanding team members of Ha Tinh visited the basement museum of the National Assembly building (this is an activity within the framework of the first simulated session of the Children's National Assembly taking place from September 8 to September 10).
In 2004, after graduating from the Intermediate School of Culture and Arts in Ha Tinh, the young teacher from Thien Loc was assigned to be the Team Leader at Khanh Loc Primary School (now Khanh Vinh Yen Primary School). The first days of entering the profession were full of difficulties, challenges, lack of experience, and performing tasks that were not in her field of expertise, but the sharing of colleagues and love for her students motivated her to constantly strive.
A memorable turning point in Ms. Mai's career began in 2007, when she was transferred to work at Vo Liem Son Primary School. The experience of 3 years of work and the joy of dedicating herself to her homeland are factors that help her confidently demonstrate her ability and enthusiasm in her work. With the view that creativity is the attraction to attract a large number of students to love and participate in Team activities, Ms. Mai regularly studies to improve her expertise, professionalism, and is active and creative in bringing new models, new activities, and competitions that are both educational and entertaining to the school.
Environmental sanitation activities at Vo Liem Son's tomb are also a way for Ms. Mai to teach students about tradition and morality.
That is the flexible integration of useful playgrounds for students such as: English exchange; thematic painting contests; weekly activities of a beautiful story, a good book, a shining example, activities of drinking water and remembering its source, improving the quality of learning... organized in a variety of ways, contributing to moral education for students and improving the quality of Team work.
With the dynamism, creativity and boldness of the female Team Leader, Vo Liem Son Primary School is the first unit in Can Loc to organize activities: team congresses in the form of dramatization; innovate the form of organizing singing and dancing in the school yard according to the theme of each month, each school year and deploy the "green house" model to educate students to classify waste, keep the environment clean and collect scrap to raise funds for poor friends.
The green house model of Vo Liem Son Primary School's team members brings in more than 10 million VND each year.
Dang Quynh Anh - a 5C student at Vo Liem Son Primary School shared: “From the movement of the Team, we have formed a sense of self-awareness in collecting bottles, cans, and waste paper to donate to the green house. We have also called on our family members to join in, so each quarter, the fund collected from this activity is quite large. We are very happy that we have contributed to doing good deeds to protect the environment and join hands to help our friends”.
In addition to the work of the Youth Union, Ms. Mai is also a person who is always concerned and passionate about charity activities in the school. She said: "There are many disadvantaged students in the locality who need help, so for many years now, in addition to launching donation movements and making small plans in schools, I have also boldly mobilized resources from businesses and philanthropists. Thanks to that, each of our teams has dozens of gifts, many study corners, and bicycles worth tens of millions of VND to give to students in difficult circumstances. In addition, every month, we also give a gift worth 500,000 VND to 1 student according to the foster child model of the Youth Union."
With the enthusiastic and creative contributions of the head teacher, the Team activities and children's movement of Vo Liem Son Primary School are increasingly consolidated, contributing to the overall achievements of the school. For many consecutive years, the school has been evaluated as the leading unit in the primary school sector of Can Loc district; in the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 school years, it was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Youth Union.
Ms. Mai is a dedicated teacher, loves her job, and has a high sense of responsibility. Thanks to her innovation and creativity, the school's Team activities are increasingly diverse, practical, and useful. The attraction of the movement helps students love their school and class more, actively cultivate moral qualities and life skills, and contribute to improving the quality of comprehensive education. Ms. Mai's personal achievements and achievements in Team activities have contributed to highlighting the school's tradition, helping all teachers and students have more motivation to contribute and make efforts in teaching and learning.
