Held from July 21 to August 3 in Sam Son City, the Market displays, introduces and promotes OCOP products and Thanh cuisine in 2024, gathering hundreds of products from enterprises, cooperatives and production entities in the province. Along with creating opportunities for people and tourists to access products with clear origin and good quality; this is also an opportunity for production entities to meet and connect with distributors to establish and expand consumption channels.
Van Truong pennywort cake production facility (Sam Son city) is one of the units actively participating in trade promotion programs and fairs held recently. Owner Truong Duy Van said: “From the original traditional product of pennywort sticky rice cake, up to now, our facility has supplemented, diversified and innovated the recipe to bring to the market many types of cakes with different flavors such as pennywort cake with lotus root, pennywort cake with taro, pennywort green bean cake... At the 2024 OCOP Products and Thanh Cuisine Exhibition and Promotion Fair held in Sam Son city, many tourists learned about our products for the first time. After enjoying and learning about the products, many customers bought them as gifts for their relatives. We also connected with a number of sales agents in other provinces and cities across the country”.

Thanh Hoa has a total annual cultivation area of over 395,000 hectares, of which the area of crops linked for production and product consumption reaches over 80,000 hectares. The whole province has 1,478 chains in the field of cultivation; of which 1,167 are chains linked from production - preliminary processing, processing - product consumption; 269 chains linked in the production and consumption of safe livestock products; 7 chains linked in production associated with processing and consumption of planted forest products with an area of 18,200 hectares/4,670 households and 24 chains linked in the field of aquaculture. |

According to the leader of the Provincial Business Association, Thanh Hoa still has hundreds of products with strengths such as melons, cucumbers, cantaloupes, fish sauce; handicraft products, rattan and bamboo weaving, sedge mats, sedge mats; medicinal products such as cordyceps, lingzhi mushrooms, bird's nests... Many enterprises, cooperatives, and individual households have also paid attention to building brands, fully equipped with requirements on procedures and documents, meeting quality standards and origin, and protecting intellectual property. Expectations for the largest-ever supply-demand connection conference
Since 2014, the Provincial People's Committee has annually organized the Conference on connecting supply and demand of safe agricultural and food products in Thanh Hoa province. This is a very important event, with the main goal of promoting the connection of production facilities with agricultural and food consumption facilities inside and outside the province, forming supply and consumption chains of safe agricultural and food products, contributing to improving the efficiency of agricultural production, building the brand of agricultural products of the province. This is also an opportunity to introduce and promote the image of Thanh Hoa province, the achievements in agricultural development of the province to other provinces. The work of connecting supply and demand has contributed significantly to the development of large-scale commodity production in the fields of agricultural production in the province.
In 2024, the Conference on connecting supply and demand and displaying and introducing agricultural products of Thanh Hoa province in 2024 was held from October 24 to 28, with the participation of 230 districts, towns and cities; organizations, associations; enterprises, cooperatives, production establishments inside and outside the province participating in displaying and introducing agricultural products, safe food, OCOP products, and regional specialties. It is known that this is the largest-scale supply and demand connection conference ever. In addition to the main activities such as: opening ceremony, displaying and introducing agricultural products, safe food; Conference on connecting supply and demand of agricultural products, safe food in Thanh Hoa province; Workshop "The role of the Provincial Business Association in promoting production and consumption of agricultural products and OCOP products in Thanh Hoa province", the program also has events serving people to visit and shop; livestream to guide registration, promotion and sales on e-commerce platforms. Many enterprises, cooperatives and production households have actively prepared goods and human resources and hope to find and successfully cooperate with new connection chains.
Ms. Do Thi Ha - owner of Chinh Ha clean tea establishment in Hoang Giang commune, Hoang Hoa, said: "We have now expanded the production of 15 types of tea products, of which lotus scented tea has been recognized as an OCOP product. After each time participating in fairs and conferences connecting supply and demand to display and introduce products, Chinh Ha clean tea products have more opportunities to reach more customers, expanding the consumption market. We have prepared many products with beautiful designs to introduce to customers, increasing connections... in this conference connecting supply and demand".
According to the representative of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with the goal of connecting production, business and consumption establishments of agricultural products and foodstuffs inside and outside the province; the conference is also an opportunity to form links between production - supply and consumption of safe agricultural products and foodstuffs, OCOP products, creating many sustainable supply and linkage chains, contributing to increasing the added value of agricultural products of Thanh Hoa province.
