The School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Tra Vinh University was established on February 1, 2024, by merging the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Dentistry. The school currently has 6 faculties, including: Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, and Dentistry. Up to now, the school has 9 undergraduate training majors, 2 master's majors, 9 level I specialized majors and 1 level II specialized major.

In 2024, the School of Medicine and Pharmacy (Tra Vinh University) will enroll students in the following majors: General Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Imaging Technology.

The school applies many different admission methods: Admission based on high school exam results, admission based on high school transcripts, admission based on the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, etc. The admission method based on high school transcripts does not apply to the majors of General Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry.

The training program of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy (Tra Vinh University) is carefully and scientifically designed, ensuring to provide students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills. Students participate in seminars, medical forums, and practice at major hospitals to master practical skills.
