Specialist II Doctor Vo Kim Hai (born in 1971) has just been transferred and appointed to the position of Director of Da Lat City Medical Center from March 20, 2025. During nearly 32 years working in the Lam Dong Health sector, regardless of his position, Doctor Vo Kim Hai has always made constant efforts to innovate and contribute to the development of the sector. Since 1993, Doctor Vo Kim Hai has joined the Lam Dong Provincial Health Sector as an employee of the Cat Tien District Health Center. After nearly 32 years of working in the sector, going through different tasks such as: Team Leader of the Cat Tien District Preventive Medicine Team, Head of the Cat Tien District Health Center's Professional Planning Department, Specialist of the General Planning Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Health Department, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Health Education and Communication Center, Chief of Office of the Department of Health, Head of the Medical - Pharmaceutical Department of the Department of Health...

The important mark of Dr. Vo Kim Hai's great contribution to the provincial health sector is the period when he held the position of Head of the Medical Affairs Department - Department of Health for the past 5 years; in which, he was 1 of 3 members of the Working Group of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control of Lam Dong province, actively advising the industry and the province to repel the COVID-19 epidemic, reducing the mortality rate to a low level compared to the whole country. Not disappointing the expectations and trust of the Board of Directors of the Department of Health and colleagues, Dr. Vo Kim Hai continued to try and strive to focus on implementing the professional tasks of the Department such as medical examination and treatment, disease prevention and control, food safety and hygiene, national target programs, health - population programs... deployed synchronously to medical facilities, from provincial hospitals, provincial medical centers, district and city medical centers to health stations throughout the province.

Promoting the role of the head, Dr. Vo Kim Hai has led, directed and coordinated the brothers in the Medical - Pharmaceutical Affairs Department to carry out daily, monthly and annual professional tasks according to the prescribed functions and tasks. In particular, he has built a unified solidarity block in the system and team of medical professional staff, regularly inspected, supervised and organized training courses on professional knowledge, techniques, communication skills, medical ethics practice, and continuous training for thousands of medical staff in the industry, contributing to the achievements in caring for patients and the people of Lam Dong province. Ensuring that 100% of the Department's cadres and civil servants always comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; completing well and excellently the assigned tasks.

In addition to doing a good job in his professional work, Dr. Vo Kim Hai is always devoted to research and innovation. From 2006 to 2024, he was the head of 3 basic-level scientific research projects of the health sector, the secretary of 1 research project at Lam Dong province level; participated with the Nuclear Research Institute in implementing 1 research project at the Ministry of Science and Technology level (2021-2023) which was accepted and published in an international journal; participated in 9 projects, initiatives, and solutions that were recognized for their scope of influence and effectiveness of application at the basic level of the health sector in the area.

With his achievements, Dr. Vo Kim Hai was awarded the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter, 12 times the title of Grassroots Emulation Fighter; many times recognized by the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and awarded a Certificate of Merit for his excellent performance in completing tasks and outstanding achievements in COVID-19 prevention and control. He was also awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command for his outstanding achievements in COVID-19 prevention and control, and a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam Medical Association for his outstanding achievements in the Association's work. Moreover, he was honored to receive high-level awards such as: Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his outstanding achievements in work from 2017 to 2021, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland...

Honored to receive the title of Meritorious Physician and the new Director of Da Lat City Medical Center, Dr. Vo Kim Hai shared: “Taking on the new task, I am deeply aware that I need to constantly learn, listen to the opinions of my comrades and colleagues to improve myself, build a democratic, creative and effective environment. I wish to continue to promote the achievements that have been made, together with the collective to bring about innovations and creativity, helping the Da Lat Health sector to develop more strongly in the coming time. To do that, we need the support of all cadres, civil servants and employees of Da Lat City Medical Center and I myself wish to continue to receive the attention and help of the Board of Directors of the Department of Health, the specialized departments of the Department of Health, the leaders of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and the departments, branches and organizations of the city, as well as the help of the general and specialized hospitals at higher levels, so that the unit can successfully complete the professional tasks assigned by the industry. I myself will continue to strive to be creative and contribute to the cause of protecting and caring for people's health".
