The 600th anniversary of Queen Pham Thi Ngoc Tran's death aims to arouse love for the homeland, country, and national pride; preserve and promote cultural values, especially the cultural values ​​of traditional festivals in the area; strengthen the work of promoting the image of the district to promote the development of spiritual tourism.

Queen Ngoc Tran's real name was Pham Thi Ngoc Tran, born in 1386, in Loi Duong district (now Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province), passed away on March 24, 1425. She was a loyal and devoted woman, together with Binh Dinh King Le Loi, defeated the Ming invaders and unified the country.

According to historical records, in the early days of the Lam Son uprising, she joined Binh Dinh King Le Loi and other generals and soldiers in the battle. On March 24, 1425, when attacking Trao Khau citadel - Nghe An, Queen Ngoc Tran sacrificed herself to the water god on the Lam River so that the god would bless the insurgents to defeat the enemy. Her body was preserved at Na Mountain, Loc Dien village, Tam Dang commune (now village 5, Xuan Lam commune, Nghi Xuan district).

Every year, the local government and people solemnly organize the death anniversary of Queen Ngoc Tran according to traditional national rituals.
