On April 7, the leader of the Department of Planning and Investment of Ninh Thuan province said that in 2024, it will continue to inspect two projects including: Hon Do high-end eco-tourism resort due to slow progress; Ba Be Lake resort due to failure to meet investment progress and completion according to approved goals and scale.
In addition, the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment are advising the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee to consider key tourism projects that are slow to be implemented, such as Ninh Chu Sailing Bay, Aminia - Ninh Chu Luxury Resort and Dien Luc Tourist Resort Hotel.
According to Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Planning and Investment Le Kim Hoang, the Provincial People's Committee directed to urgently review the progress of 22 tourism projects that are behind schedule to have specific solutions.
The Provincial People's Committee also directed the Provincial Inspectorate to establish an interdisciplinary team to inspect 3 projects: Ninh Chu Sailing Bay, Aminia - Ninh Chu Luxury Resort, and Dien Luc Tourist Resort Hotel, and prepare inspection conclusions.
“ In addition to the three projects mentioned above, two more projects will be inspected in the near future, including Hon Do High-end Eco-tourism Resort and Ba Be Lake Resort. For any project that has expired its land use extension, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment must reclaim the land. For projects that are behind schedule, a part of the project will be reclaimed. When the project is completed, the entire project will be proposed to be reclaimed ,” said Mr. Hoang.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Ninh Thuan, there are currently 56 tourism projects in the area, of which 23 projects are in operation, the remaining 20 projects are under construction, 13 projects are completing procedures for forest land, compensation, site clearance and investment procedures.
The Department of Planning and Investment continues to advise the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province to establish a Working Group to remove difficulties for businesses in the tourism sector in order to promptly remove and handle slow-moving projects according to the provisions of law; at the same time, strengthen inspection and examination work, and resolutely handle slow-moving projects.
Ba Be Lake Resort Project (Phuoc Dinh Commune, Thuan Nam District) is invested by Son Hai Joint Stock Company. The project was granted an investment registration certificate by the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee in 2009 and the fourth adjustment in 2017 with an area of over 47 hectares. The project has a total investment capital of 120 billion VND, expected to be completed and put into operation within 36 months from the date of the second adjustment (2014).
Hon Do High-end Eco-tourism Resort Project (Thanh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District) is invested by Hon Do Company. The project was granted an investment registration certificate by the Provincial People's Committee in 2011, on a land area of 33 hectares; investment capital of 459.8 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation within 48 months from the date of issuance of the investment registration certificate. After that, the project was approved to extend the progress until December 2022.
