
Accompanying the delegation were comrade Le Van Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of Tien Phuoc district, former district leaders and Mr. Huynh's family.
In a solemn atmosphere, former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and delegates respectfully offered flowers, incense, and recalled the life and revolutionary career of Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang - a famous patriot, exemplary leader, outstanding cultural activist, and an outstanding son of his homeland Quang Nam.

Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang was born in Thanh Binh village, Tien Giang Thuong commune, Tien Phuoc district, Tam Ky prefecture - now Tien Canh commune, Tien Phuoc district. Mr. Huynh was invited by President Ho Chi Minh to join the cabinet of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, holding the position of Minister of the Interior after the successful August Revolution in 1945. In 1946, when President Ho Chi Minh went to France for negotiations, Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang was appointed Acting President.
At the end of 1946, he was a special envoy of the Government to the South Central Resistance Administrative Committee in Nghia Hanh, Quang Ngai province. During his inspection tour of the Central provinces, Mr. Huynh fell seriously ill and died on April 21, 1947; after his death, he was buried on the top of Thien An mountain in Tinh An commune, Son Tinh district, the mountain considered a symbol of Quang Ngai land.

On this occasion, former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and delegates planted souvenir trees in the grounds of Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House, presented books to Huynh Thuc Khang High School and localities in Tien Phuoc district; and presented 20 million VND to the Tien Phuoc District Education Promotion Fund.
