For the "young" generation of Phuoc Son district

As a primary school teacher who spent more than 30 years with many generations of students in the mountainous district of Phuoc Son, Ms. Cung deeply felt the deprivation of poor children there. After leaving the podium, the former teacher went to the education promotion work to continue her dream of "giving children wings to go to school"...

Without hesitation, she knocks on every door, connects with friends and charity organizations across the country, and on opening and closing days, or during Tet, Ms. Cung brings necessities, books, clothes, and school supplies to children in difficult circumstances. Students who are good at studying and excelling are all rewarded by the Chairwoman of the Kham Duc Town Education Promotion Association.

Talking about her volunteer activities for children in the highlands, she emotionally shared: “Seeing the children happily studying and having a more stable life makes me feel lighter and happier. Every student who is supported to go to school and is helped to overcome difficulties and study well, I feel like I have more joy in life.”

Outstanding Branch President

Although she has turned 60, Ms. Huynh Thi Cung is still active in the women's movement. For many years, she was the head of the women's association of residential group 2 (Kham Duc town). She always put her unit at the forefront of the town's Women's Union.

In 2024, the women's association headed by Ms. Cung was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Phuoc Son district for its skillful mass mobilization work in practicing thrift to help women escape poverty.

Ms. Cung shared that she was able to achieve such “sweet fruit” thanks to the cooperation of the women’s association members. As for those in difficult circumstances such as Ms. Ho Thi Lam, Ms. Tra Thi Kim Tay, Ms. Vo Thi Oanh... she said: “Ms. Cung always closely studies the lives of the women in the association, especially those who are sick. As the head of the women’s association, she focuses on the piggy bank movement, encouraging women to change their thinking and working methods and calling for socialized resources to support livelihoods such as chickens, ducks, carts for sale... for poor members”.
