The Rain Dust series of tapes and CDs brought many artists to the pinnacle of glory, including female artist Tai Linh.
Tai Linh's real name is Huynh Thi Phu Nhuan, born in 1956 in Ho Chi Minh City. The female artist was born into a family with many members pursuing the career of Cai Luong. Thanks to the introduction of her older sister Tai Luong, Tai Linh was mentored by her seniors Lan Chi, Thuy Lan and Duy Khanh, becoming a famous Cai Luong actress of the time.
The female artist was especially compatible and beautiful when performing with the late artist Vu Linh. The couple created the image of a "stage lovebird" that thrilled audiences in the 80s.
In the 90s, when the Rain Dust tape series was released to the public and "made waves" in the music market, Tai Linh was invited by musician Huu Minh to record a number of songs.
At first, Tai Linh was a bit hesitant because at that time she was already a famous cai luong artist through a series of plays: Than Nu Dang Ngu Linh Ky, Tinh Nuoc Duyen Trang, Luong Son Ba - Chuc Anh Dai, Tam Da Chau Ngoc Long, Chieu Quan Cong Ho... However, Tai Linh's sweet voice quickly made the recordings on Mua Bui become a "fever".
Thanks to the success of the series Mua bui , Tai Linh became more widely known to the audience. The 90s were Tai Linh's golden age, she was called by the public by the title: "Video Queen", "Rain Bui Tape Queen"...
Despite being so famous, the female artist has not been involved in any unnecessary scandals. This makes the public love and respect Tai Linh even more.
The female artist once shared on Sports and Culture: “I make a clear distinction between the stage and life. On stage, I can be a king or queen, but when I return home, I am just an ordinary person.
I am a simple person, not demanding much, for me being famous or not is the same, just peace for my family is enough".
For Tai Linh, family still comes first: "When I'm not singing, I'm still a wife, a mother, still doing housework and taking care of my husband and children like any other woman. I'm satisfied with what I have."
At the height of his fame, in 2003, Tai Linh decided to leave the entertainment industry, leaving behind the stage glory he had built for two decades to go to the US to reunite with his family.
Originally a private person, avoiding gossip, Tai Linh updated even less information about herself after moving to the US. People only know that the once famous star of Mua bui spent 3 years making a living as a nail technician in the US, then she opened her own shop to do business.
Tai Linh also rarely appears in performances or meets with Vietnamese artists living in the US. However, this star of Mua bui still keeps in touch and pays special attention to her colleagues. She personally visited Anh Vu, attended the weekly memorial service of the late artist Ngoc Dang and also sent flowers to express her condolences when artist Vu Linh passed away.
According to her colleagues, Tai Linh's life in the US is quite happy and fulfilling. She lives a healthy and fulfilling life with her children and grandchildren, but does not participate in performances.
