Implementing the breakthrough in building social infrastructure as proposed by the 24th Ngoc Lac District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, with appropriate solutions, investment in building infrastructure in the district has achieved encouraging results, contributing to local socio-economic development.
Ngoc Lac District Ethnic Minority Secondary School has just been upgraded and newly built.
According to statistics of Ngoc Lac District People's Committee, from 2021 to present, the district has mobilized over 3,141 billion VND, investing in the construction of 331 infrastructure works. In particular, traffic infrastructure is identified by the district as an important task in socio-economic development, focusing on strengthening trade connections with neighboring districts, thereby creating conditions for the district to attract investment. In the period of 2021-2023, the whole district has solidified 158.6km of roads of all kinds, of which many key projects are being implemented, such as: upgrading the traffic route from Quang Trung commune (Ngoc Lac) to Yen Lam commune (Yen Dinh); upgrading the route from Quang Trung - Ngoc Lien - Ngoc Son - Ngoc Trung - Lam Son commune (Ngoc Lac) to Tho Lap commune (Tho Xuan) and 4 routes under the Ngoc Lac urban infrastructure improvement sub-project. Among them, some projects are inter-regional in nature, with route plans being completed, such as: inter-regional connecting roads from Ho Chi Minh Road (Ngoc Lac District) to National Highway 6 in Tan Lac District (Hoa Binh) through Thanh Hoa Province; road from Kien Tho Commune to Thuong Xuan District; traffic route connecting Thanh Hoa City with Ngoc Lac District and the western districts of the province. When completed and put into use, these projects will basically meet the requirements for connection and circulation of goods between the district and localities inside and outside the province. Up to now, the rate of hardened roads in the area has reached 81.6% (excluding national highways and provincial roads).
In addition to inter-regional projects, Ngoc Lac district also speeds up the development of industrial cluster infrastructure. Currently, Ngoc Lac industrial cluster has been approved for detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/500, with an area of 150 hectares in Ngoc Lac town and Quang Trung and Ngoc Lien communes, to attract businesses to invest in production. In addition, the district focuses on planning for urban infrastructure development. Currently, the district is implementing the project "Improving Ngoc Lac district infrastructure" under the sub-project to improve urban infrastructure to minimize the impact of climate change for 4 coastal provinces of the North Central region (AFD). In particular, upgrading and expanding Ngoc Lac town water supply plant, with a total investment of 118,119 million VND; building a 9.9-hectare regulating lake, with an investment of over 30 billion VND; construction of a flood drainage system from Ho Chi Minh road to Cau Chay river and Cau Chay river embankment, with a length of nearly 8km, total investment of over 107 billion VND; 4 roads with a length of over 14km, total investment of 158,707 million VND. Along with that, many infrastructure works that play an important role in local socio-economic development have been and are being implemented, such as: Project "Construction of 0.4kV power line system in Nguyet Thinh village (Nguyet An)"; construction of 18 new transformer stations, renovation of 108.7km of rural lighting lines; repair and installation of 15.55km of 10 - 35kV power lines; rapid development of information and communication infrastructure, improved service quality; The medical and educational sectors have been invested in construction with modern equipment... The district has planned and arranged commercial service land areas in planning projects as a basis for developing commercial infrastructure; prioritizing the development of restaurant systems, hotels, and commercial centers serving tourism...
In the coming time, Ngoc Lac district will continue to review, supplement and complete the planning system, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of planning management; mobilize maximum resources to invest in infrastructure construction, especially transport infrastructure to create a breakthrough in socio-economic development; strengthen State management of land and infrastructure investment, create favorable conditions for investors to speed up the implementation of projects as well as improve the ability to promote and attract investment in the district.
