Overview of the Workshop

Speaking at the opening of the Workshop, Comrade Pham Duy Hung - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that the scientific workshop "Evaluating the implementation of Party building work in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics for the 2020-2025 term and directions, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term" was organized with the aim of collecting opinions and contributions from delegates on Party building work in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics in the past term and directions, tasks, and solutions in the coming term, focusing on studying and discussing the contents of the Committee's report and the presentations of the agencies and units attending the Workshop. The basic requirement of the Workshop is to accurately assess the achieved results, difficulties, limitations, and specific causes, thereby proposing practical and effective directions, tasks, and solutions to meet the requirements of the tasks in the current period. Based on the comments, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission will synthesize, edit, and complete the Report to send to the Document Subcommittee of the 13th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Speaking at the Conference

In her report to the workshop, comrade Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission stated that since its inception, our Party has been deeply aware of the particularly important role of ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle of the Party's cadres and party members as well as the whole society in the development of the Vietnamese revolution. In order to build a clean and strong party member team, the Party must carry out many aspects of work, in which the management of ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle plays a particularly important role, being a fundamental issue in Party building work, a focus of the task of Party building and rectification. Doing a good job of managing ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle of cadres and party members in the current situation will directly contribute to raising political awareness, consolidating stances and viewpoints, and fostering and developing the good qualities of each cadre and party member of the Party; actively prevent ideological, moral and lifestyle degradation among cadres and party members.

Through the congress terms, with the continuous efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the Party building work in terms of ideology, politics and ethics of the province has achieved positive results, especially in the 2020 - 2025 term, positively affecting the implementation of local political tasks such as: Building a contingent of cadres and Party members with steadfast political will, pure and exemplary ethics, with aspirations, daring to think, daring to do, daring to innovate; focusing the collective intelligence in choosing and determining the development direction of the province in line with the general trend of the country, in line with the characteristics of the province... thereby consolidating and strengthening the trust of the masses in local Party committees and authorities.

However, the Party building work in terms of ideology, politics and ethics in the province still faces some difficulties and limitations when hostile and reactionary forces try to propagate and distort Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, defame the regime, downgrade the Party's leadership role, and carry out the "peaceful evolution" plot to sabotage our Party and State, especially when the Party and State implement the policy of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW; political, ideological and ethical education work in some places is not of high quality; the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints is sometimes passive and lacking in sharpness; some Party committees and authorities have not been innovative and creative in building and organizing the implementation and concretizing the Party and State's guidelines and policies into the reality of localities, agencies and units.

The workshop received 5 presentations and 8 comments discussing the results and limitations in Party building work in terms of ideology, politics and ethics for the 2020-2025 term; directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. Through the reality in Bach Thong district, comrade Luong Van Vuong proposed a number of solutions to promote the voluntary responsibility and active example-setting of cadres and party members, especially leaders, to effectively lead and organize the implementation of political tasks of localities and units such as: Continuing to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Party's resolutions and regulations on the exemplary responsibility of each cadre and party member, especially the heads of Party committees and authorities at all levels; clearly defining the exemplary responsibility of each cadre and party member in their working positions; Raise political awareness, sense of responsibility and exemplary behavior of each cadre and party member before the masses, thereby raising the sense of responsibility to serve the people; raise the sense of responsibility and exemplary behavior of cadres and party members towards the community, family, society...

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Pham Quyet Chien - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Bac Kan city said that the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the coming time will still face many difficulties and challenges. Especially, in the context of increasingly deep globalization and international integration, along with the fourth industrial revolution, the explosive development of the Internet, global social networks and issues arising from the negative side of the market economy, hostile and reactionary forces are increasingly using new and more sophisticated tricks to sabotage the Party, the State and the country's innovation process.

To continue to effectively carry out the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the coming time, grassroots Party committees need to strengthen propaganda and education work, raise awareness, responsibility and initiative of each cadre, Party member and People in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; promote the building of "people's hearts" in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; strengthen the management and education of cadres and Party members to strictly comply with Party discipline and order; regularly inspect, supervise, summarize and review the implementation of the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints of grassroots Party organizations, cadres, Party members and People... And to successfully carry out the above tasks, promoting the role of grassroots Party committees is extremely important and necessary.

Comrade Hoang Duc Hoan - former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department assessed that the draft report on the implementation of Party building work on political ideology and ethics for the 2020 - 2025 term and the direction, tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term are complete in content with a clear and reasonable layout, concise and easy-to-understand language; the direction in the coming term is basically consistent with the local socio-economic situation. The selected tasks and solutions are very specific and practical, able to meet the goals and directions to be implemented in the 2025 - 2030 term.

He contributed ideas on the tasks and solutions in the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology and ethics; measures to strengthen inspection and supervision work; and the need to propose more effective solutions on the form of propaganda in political, ideological and ethical education for cadres and Party members. In particular, regarding the tasks and solutions in the work of building in terms of politics, it is necessary to add more content focusing on promoting the struggle to firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation, preventing and repelling erroneous and hostile viewpoints aimed at sabotaging the Party, the State and our People, distorting Marxist-Leninist theory and Ho Chi Minh's thought; fighting against negative manifestations, bureaucracy, corruption, alienation from the People, privileges, special interests and manifestations of political and ideological degradation, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

Concluding the Workshop, Comrade Pham Duy Hung assessed that the presentations and opinions given at the Workshop were very enthusiastic, demonstrating the high sense of responsibility of the delegates; many opinions and presentations were of extremely high quality, contributing many good ideas, solutions, and valuable experiences to carry out the task of Party building in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics in the coming time. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission will fully absorb the opinions and complete the Report on the assessment of the implementation of Party building work in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics for the 2020-2025 term and the direction, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term", reported to the Subcommittee of Documents of the 13th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030./.
