On July 30, the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of Nghi Son town held its 6th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term.
Overview of the congress.
In the 2019-2024 term, the work of the Association and the youth movement of Nghi Son town has developed comprehensively. 10/10 targets set by the 5th Congress of Delegates, term 2019-2024 were all completed and exceeded.

During the term, the Association at all levels in the town coordinated to organize nearly 360 traditional talks for young people in schools; organized 21 festivals and competitions; 535 propaganda and education sessions on the Law on Military Service, the Law on Traffic Safety, the Law on Cyber Security, the Law on Youth... attracting nearly 79,500 youth members to participate. Youth start-up activities were promoted, the whole town had nearly 275 economic development models for young people.

The town association also undertook 34 youth projects; the grassroots level undertook 163 projects and 642 youth tasks, with a total value of more than 6.03 billion VND, with the participation of nearly 83,000 youth members.
The work of building and consolidating the Youth Union continues to be focused on; the youth solidarity front is expanded; the position and role of the union are increasingly affirmed.
With the achievements and results achieved during the term, the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghi Son town was awarded a Certificate of Merit and Emulation Flag by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union Committee awarded the Emulation Flag for outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movement.

At this congress, 10 collectives and 15 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Town People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in association work and youth movements, period 2019-2024.
Comrade Truong Ba Duyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghi Son Town Party Committee, gave a speech at the congress.
In the 2024-2029 term, with the action slogan of Nghi Son Youth: "Aspiration - Pioneer - Solidarity - Creativity - Development", the Youth Union of the town continues to build a generation of young people with revolutionary ideals, strong political will; develop healthily, comprehensively, harmoniously in terms of intelligence, physical strength, spirit, and responsibility to meet the requirements of the new period.

Continue to build and consolidate a strong Association, expand the solidarity front, widely gather youth from all walks of life; care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of youth, encourage youth to build great ambitions, cultivate virtue, train talents, establish careers; promote the talents and youth strength of youth in international integration, preserve national cultural identity, develop economy, society and protect the Fatherland, determined to build Nghi Son town - Nghi Son Economic Zone to become the economic center, dynamic urban area of the province and the region.

In the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the Congress consulted and elected 33 members to the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghi Son town, term VI, 2024-2029; consulted and elected the President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghi Son town, term VI, and at the same time consulted and elected a delegation to attend the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province, term 2024-2029, which will be held in the near future.
