The Vietnamese men's fencing team reached the finals against the Indonesian team. The Vietnamese teammates included: Nguyen Van Quyet, Vu Thanh An, To Duc Anh, Nguyen Xuan Loi. The athletes defeated Malaysia in the qualifying round to reach the semi-finals. In the women's team fencing event, the Vietnamese team including Luu Thi Thanh Nhan, Pham Thi Ngoc Luyen, Ha Thi Van Anh, Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong will meet the Philippines team in the semi-finals.

With a "shower" of gold medals from diving, aerobics, martial arts, and fencing, Vietnamese sports won 20 gold medals on May 14 and achieved a total of 107 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games, far surpassing the second-placed team Thailand with 91 gold medals.

Among them, Thanh Hoa athlete - Cao Thi Duyen excellently won the 3rd gold medal at this year's SEA Games.

Cao Thi Duyen won a total of 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals at this year's SEA Games.
