Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Doan Truong Quang said: After 22 years, Vietnam Family Day June 28 has become a traditional day, with very important meaning for every Vietnamese person in general and the people of Ho Chi Minh City in particular. This is also the day to kindle the spirit of turning towards family, turning towards ancestors - thereby nurturing good feelings, noble human values of the nation.
Vietnamese Family Day June 28 has become a day to remember and promote traditions, rules and family customs; awakening each person to think more deeply and act more practically to build a prosperous, happy and progressive family, towards the sustainable development of the family and the Fatherland.
Along with the development of the country, Vietnamese Family Day has gradually become a festival in all parts of the country, a cultural beauty, where love and sharing are honored. The activities are organized with increasingly rich content, diverse in form, attracting the participation of a large number of people and young people in the city.
According to Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Doan Truong Quang, precious traditional values such as love for the homeland, mutual love and care, filial piety, studiousness, diligence and creativity in work, and resilience in overcoming all difficulties and challenges have always been preserved, cultivated and promoted by Vietnamese families throughout the history of building and defending the country.
Today's Happy Family Day also aims to promote the responsibility of sectors, levels, social organizations and city residents in caring for building prosperous, equal, progressive and happy families, and promoting the protection, care and education of children.
At the festival, the Organizing Committee presented trees to 10 outstanding families.
The festival is divided into 3 areas with 3 different themes including “Family Moments”, “Active Family”, “Technology Family”; 1 specialized activity area “New Age Young Family Culture”; at the same time, activities such as book festivals and game booths take place.
