On the first working day after the Lunar New Year holiday, February 3, the Ministry of Information and Communications worked with Vietnam Post Corporation.
According to Vietnam Post, from January 25 to February 1 (ie December 26 to the 4th day of Tet), the volume of goods and postal items transported reached 1,051 tons, an increase of 45% over the same period in 2024.
Nearly 884,000 Tet newspapers were successfully transported, exploited and distributed. In particular, on January 28 (December 29), nearly 100,000 Nhan Dan daily newspapers were transported and distributed to agencies, units and readers nationwide.
Right from the first days of the new year, when many businesses were still on holiday, Vietnam Post launched operations, exploiting and transporting the first shipments to customers. On February 1 and 2 (the 4th and 5th of Tet), Cau Giay Central Post Office coordinated with the Transportation and Logistics Center - Hanoi City Post Office to receive and exploit nearly 16,000 postal items from major customers.

In addition to delivering goods, letters, and securing KT1 delivery services (documents and papers of the Party and State), during the Lunar New Year, banking and financial services also increased sharply, reaching an average of over 1,000,000 transactions/day.
The total amount of money received and paid daily reached nearly 900 billion VND, an increase of 12.5% over the same period last year. The balance of postal savings services across the network during Tet reached more than 84,900 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,135 billion VND compared to the end of 2024.
The payment of pensions and social insurance benefits for January and February 2025 has been basically completed, with the total payment amount reaching over VND 8,400 billion for 758,949 beneficiaries.
The payment of preferential allowances for meritorious people and Tet gifts for policy families was also completed, with a total amount of VND 3,050 billion; social security payments were completed, with an amount of VND 3,675 billion for more than 2,800 beneficiaries.
In addition, Vietnam Post has deployed more than 3,000 points of sale at post offices and post offices - commune culture. In particular, the Corporation has coordinated with labor federations of several provinces and cities to organize booths and participate in the Trade Union Tet Market on both online and direct platforms.
