Comrade Nguyen Hong Duong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, affirmed: The Quang Ninh Propaganda Department has made important and great contributions to the work of Party building and socio-economic development in each revolutionary period of the province. Over the past 94 years, the cadres working in propaganda have constantly trained, united, and remained steadfast, always maintained their political mettle, remained absolutely loyal to the Party's goals and ideals, and promptly advised on the work of propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to cadres, party members and people, contributing significantly to unifying thoughts and actions in society. Thereby, affirming the role of propaganda work in leading the way, guiding and providing information to cadres, party members and people, fighting and refuting wrong views and distorted information about politics, ideology, and the socio-economic development situation of the province.
Closely following the direction of the Central and the Provincial Party Committee, with the spirit of proactiveness, creativity and innovation, the Provincial Propaganda Department continues to well implement the motto of pioneering, accompanying the implementation of tasks, advising the Party Committee to well carry out the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology and ethics, contributing to building an increasingly clean, strong Party Committee, equal to the task.
In particular, it is necessary to take the lead in advising the Party Committee to summarize practices, research, supplement theories, and implement new, innovative, and breakthrough issues; improve the quality of information and propaganda work on the province's key socio-economic policies, programs, and projects. Highlights: Plan to implement Directive No. 30-CT/TW dated February 5, 2024 of the Secretariat on oral propaganda work in the new situation; promote propaganda for studying and implementing Resolution No. 20-NQ/TU dated November 27, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee "On directions and tasks in 2024", the province's working theme in 2024 "Improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity"; Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee "On building and promoting cultural values, human strength of Quang Ninh to become endogenous resources, driving force for rapid and sustainable development"... Notably, at the end of May 2024, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with Nguyen Van Cu Cadre Training School to co-organize the Scientific Workshop "Research and application of Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee on building and promoting cultural values, human strength of Quang Ninh to become endogenous resources, driving force for rapid and sustainable development in teaching".
The Propaganda Department focuses on grasping the ideological situation of cadres, party members, public opinion, and issues of concern and concern to the people; promptly advising the Party Committee to direct the resolution and orientation of ideology, especially the work of grasping and orienting the ideology of cadres, party members, and people against false and untrue information on cyberspace. In the first 6 months of 2024, there were no hot spots or complicated incidents in the province; cadres, party members, and people were assured, excited, and had absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration.
Along with that, strengthen the implementation of the emulation movement "Youth offering to the Party". This is one of the key and outstanding tasks of the provincial Propaganda Department in 2024. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the launching ceremony of the emulation movement "Youth offering to the Party" for the subjects admitted to the Party in the period of 2024-2025, which are outstanding young union members, students, and organized the screening of the film "Peach, Pho and Piano". Before, during, and after the launching ceremony, public opinion highly appreciated the province's good, creative, and very specific way of educating revolutionary ideals for the young generation, contributing to concretizing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee. Thereby contributing to increasing the rate of students admitted to the Party. In the 2023-2024 school year, the number of students participating in the Party awareness training class reached over 15%, 3 times higher than the previous school year.
As the core force in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, the provincial Propaganda Department has proactively and actively advised the Party Committee to effectively implement many resolutions and directives of the Party on ideological and theoretical work in general, Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo (dated October 22, 2018) in particular, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has advised and guided the piloting of the Party cell activities on "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting bad and toxic information, wrong and hostile views" in the new situation for Party members at the Party cell activities; launched the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation of Quang Ninh province in 2024.
