At Long An province, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam, leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors attended.

In 2023, with the motto of action "Solidarity, discipline, exemplary, innovative, creative, effective", the entire Home Affairs sector has made efforts, determination, drastic, constantly innovated, creative, and flexibly implemented well "3 breakthroughs, 4 focuses", creating comprehensive and clear changes with important results, contributing to the common achievements of the country and each locality.

The work of building and perfecting institutions and policies is prioritized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, focusing resources on implementation to strongly and effectively innovate the State administration towards democracy, professionalism, modernity, streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency.

In the work of organizing the State management apparatus and public service units, the Ministry of Home Affairs has advised the Government to issue regulations on implementing innovation, arranging the apparatus in the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently, and reduce staffing associated with restructuring the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees according to job positions.

Localities have focused on reviewing and rearranging administrative organizations, reducing 13 departments and other administrative organizations under the Provincial People's Committee; reducing 2,572 divisions and equivalent organizations under specialized agencies of the Provincial and District People's Committees nationwide. From January 1 to December 15, 2023, the total number of subjects of staff reduction is 7,151 people (the Central Government reduces 146 people and the locality reduces 7,005 people).

At the conference, delegates from ministries, branches and localities exchanged and discussed to clarify some evaluation contents on the results achieved in each field of work of the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2023, difficulties, obstacles, etc., and proposed solutions to effectively implement the 2024 work program of the Home Affairs sector.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang highly appreciated the results of the internal affairs work in 2023. The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in 2024, the Home Affairs sector needs to improve the quality of the development and promulgation of circulars and decrees in the sector; focus on guiding the development of job position projects for ministries, branches and localities; resolutely implement the arrangement of administrative units; promote innovation in the recruitment of cadres, civil servants and public employees associated with policies to attract talent; pay attention to the work of building a team of successor cadres;...
