On the first day of the new year, although it was a holiday, the working atmosphere in many localities, units, enterprises and fields in the province still took place with a lively, excited and urgent atmosphere. It seems that the more difficulties and challenges businesses, workers and farmers experience, the more they cherish the opportunities they have, the more they strive and are determined to strive to successfully complete production and business goals from the first moments of the new year 2025.

Seize opportunities, improve efficiency
Looking back at the production and business activities of enterprises in the past year, it can be seen that although facing many difficulties and challenges, thanks to the effective promotion of existing advantages, combined with incentive mechanisms and policies to support investment attraction, production activities in the province have maintained stability and achieved a good growth rate. Since the second half of 2024, many enterprises have made efforts to approach the market and seek partners to create momentum for the new year.
Enterprises in the province have proactively developed plans, clearly defined production and business goals and plans, and accelerated implementation right from the first days of the new year, paying special attention to digital transformation, investing in technology, diversifying supply sources, and expanding consumption markets. Many enterprises launched emulation movements among cadres and workers, boosting production right from the beginning of the year, focusing on improving productivity, work efficiency, promoting initiatives and creativity in production; improving qualifications and skills, and ensuring labor safety.
In industrial parks and clusters, which are the "locomotives" of industrial development in the province, trucks carrying goods are bustling in and out, preparing for Tet orders and welcoming the new year. Yakjin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thuy Van Industrial Park, Viet Tri City) specializes in garment exports, operating in 2024, with more prosperity than last year with many returning orders, ensuring jobs for over 3,000 workers, with an average income of over 7 million VND/person/month.

Thereby, helping employees increase productivity, work efficiency, be more aware of responsibility, compete in production right from the beginning of the new year, creating a favorable start, helping to increase the production of the enterprise, and improve the lives of employees".
In the atmosphere of labor and production competition, businesses pay special attention to creating momentum and motivation for employees through promoting initiatives, improving techniques, saving production costs, innovating management models, focusing on sustainable production and business, and enhancing digital transformation.
At Hoang Gia Joint Stock Company (Hanh Cu commune, Thanh Ba district), specializing in the production of construction bricks with a capacity of about 40 million bricks/year, Mr. Nguyen Cong Kien - Production Director of the Company said: “In the last days of 2024, we had to work overtime at the production lines to ensure delivery progress for partners. In the past time, the Company has invested in technology, automated many stages, introduced robots into production at many stages, so productivity and product quality have been improved. Enthusiastic about the new season
In the fields in the province, the working atmosphere of the people is bustling, making efforts to complete the spring crop production within the best time frame. The Department of Agriculture and localities in the province focus on propagating and mobilizing farmers to promote the application of scientific and technical advances in production, apply mechanization in land preparation; closely monitor water discharges to notify people to proactively collect water, prepare land, and plant; strengthen propaganda about the time to sow rice seedlings, care for rice seedlings when the weather is unfavorable...
After getting water for several fields, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van in Zone 3 of Vo Lao Commune, Thanh Ba District immediately prepared to soak rice seedlings for planting in the next few days. Ms. Van shared: "According to the schedule announced by the commune's agricultural extension team, we will sow rice seedlings from January 5-15. Therefore, my family has fully prepared rice seeds, bamboo covers, and plastic covers to help the seedlings grow well and not reduce productivity." Like Ms. Van's family, in the first days of the new year, farmers in districts and towns across the province are focusing on harvesting winter crops and preparing the land for spring production according to the schedule directed by the Department of Agriculture.
According to the plan, this year's Spring crop, the whole province will plant about 35,300 hectares of rice, of which the hybrid rice area is about 11,800 hectares, high-quality rice 21,100 hectares, the rest are other rice varieties. According to the issued schedule, the early Spring crop (accounting for 2% of the total cultivated area of the whole crop) has been planted and prepared for planting, concentrated in low-lying fields. The late Spring crop (accounting for 98% of the total area) will be divided into 2 batches, including batch 1 (accounting for 46% of the total area) will be sown from the first week of January 2025, batch 2 (accounting for 52% of the total area) will be sown from January 25 to February 5, 2025.
In addition to rice, in the spring crop, the whole province also plans to plant about 5,600 hectares of corn and 4,800 hectares of various vegetables. To serve production, the Phu Tho State-owned Irrigation Works Exploitation Company has directed irrigation enterprises to sign contracts with localities as soon as possible; repair, maintain and service irrigation systems and machinery; dredge canals, prepare adequate materials to take water according to the water discharge schedule of hydropower plants, and pump water in time for people to prepare the land.
In the vegetable fields at this time, people are also focusing on taking care of the beds of cauliflower, kohlrabi, cabbage, tomatoes, leafy vegetables, and herbs to supply the market before and after Tet. In 2024, due to the impact of storm No. 3 and its circulation, many concentrated vegetable growing areas were affected, causing significant damage to vegetable growers. However, with diligence and hard work, people quickly restored production to meet market demand.
In addition to focusing on preparing the land for planting according to the crop schedule, localities also organize to clear the ground cover, dig holes, and prepare materials for planting forests in early spring. Seedling warehouses have fully prepared trees such as acacia, linden, fat, etc. to provide to growers. For the aquaculture sector, most of the 1 rice 1 fish area has been harvested, and the land is prepared for planting. In specialized farming areas, farmers also proactively keep water to protect fish from the cold, prepare to harvest and supply to the market during the upcoming Tet holiday.
According to Mr. Tran Tu Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, to ensure the production plan, the Department has issued a document requesting localities to strengthen propaganda and guide farmers to take care of spring crops in the development stages, ensuring the best production results. At the same time, it is requested that the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns direct specialized agencies to closely monitor the progress of planting, strengthen inspection, grasp the developments of pests and diseases, the risk of water shortage in crops, and diseases in livestock to provide timely guidance, minimizing damage to production. In addition, the Department also requested localities to promptly reorganize grassroots agricultural extension teams in new communes after the merger, to avoid production interruptions.
The bustling, urgent, and "on-track" production atmosphere right from the beginning of the new year is a good sign, promising to create new achievements in production, contributing to the completion of the set socio-economic development goals.
