On June 14, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov affirmed that the US is not really looking for a solution, but is "bogged down" in the crisis, through a new military aid package for Ukraine.
Earlier, on June 13, the US announced an additional military aid package worth 325 million USD for Ukraine, in the context of Kiev's counter-offensive campaign. The aid package includes missiles for air defense systems, ammunition as well as military vehicles.
Specifically, Ukraine will receive additional missiles for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS), ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), 155 mm artillery shells, Stinger air defense systems and anti-tank weapons.
In addition, the aid package also includes 15 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 10 Stryker armored personnel carriers, secure communications equipment and more than 22 million rounds of ammunition for small arms.
According to the US State Department spokesman, this is the 40th aid package that the US has provided to Ukraine. Thus, since the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Washington has spent up to 40 billion USD to help Kiev ensure national security.
