The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a bulletin predicting heavy rain from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh and a 10-day weather forecast from the night of October 14 to October 24.

It is forecasted that from the afternoon of October 14 to October 16, the area from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 150-250mm, some places over 400mm, especially in Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam areas 300-500mm, some places over 800mm; in Ha Tinh area there will be moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-100mm, some places over 150mm.
In addition, in the southern areas of Nghe An, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, there will be moderate rain, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 30-60mm, some places over 80mm; the South Central region, other places in the Central Highlands and the South will have showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 70mm (thunderstorms are concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
The meteorological agency warned that from the night of October 16-17, rain tends to expand to the North; the area from Southern Nghe An to Binh Dinh has heavy rain of 100-300mm, some places over 500mm. After October 17, heavy rain in the Central region will continue and develop complicatedly. Risk of natural disasters due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang level 4; Quang Nam: level 3; Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai: level 2; Ha Tinh, Binh Dinh: level 1.
Due to the impact of heavy rain, it is necessary to guard against the risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding of rice fields and crops in low-lying areas; beware of heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

In the Central Highlands and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening. From October 16 to 18, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; locally there will be moderate to heavy rain.
Thunderstorms may contain tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
