On this occasion, the Chairman of District 1 People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year; District 1 Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 86 collectives and 103 individuals who were outstanding in performing their tasks for the school year. The total value of the bonus is more than 100 million VND from socialized sources.

Mr. Vo Cao Long, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1, said that one of the key tasks of the 2024-2025 school year is to continue to effectively implement the Project to popularize and improve English proficiency for students, the teaching and learning program of math, science and English integrating the British and Vietnamese programs, and continue to expand the teaching of other foreign languages ​​such as Chinese and Japanese.

In addition to implementing the national education program, the entire sector needs to focus on improving the quality of foreign language teaching, specifically English and information technology skills for learners, striving to achieve the goal of being one of the leading localities in the quality of teaching and learning foreign languages ​​and information technology.

The Secretary of District 1 Party Committee added that to achieve that goal, educational institutions create maximum conditions for joint investment units and diversify teaching methods on the basis of ensuring fairness and responsibility to students.
