From January 1 to September 11, nearly 1.2 million tons of imported and exported goods passed through border gates and openings in Mong Cai City. The total import and export turnover reached more than 2.7 million USD.

According to information from the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board, from the beginning of the year to September 11, there were 1,182,595 tons of import and export goods through border gates and openings in the city, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, Bac Luan II Bridge Border Gate has 58,355 vehicles carrying 859,047 tons of import and export goods (imports reaching 620,439 tons, exports reaching 238,608 tons), an increase of 63.3% over the same period in 2023, an average of 3,550 tons of import and export goods/day.
The opening of the temporary pontoon bridge at Km 3+4 Hai Yen has 18,569 vehicles carrying 304,197 tons of goods (an average of 79 vehicles/day, 1,294 tons/day), down 42% over the same period in 2023. Of which, there are 91,009 tons of fruit; 22,325 tons of tapioca flour; 145,697 tons of frozen seafood; 17,715 tons of dry seeds and other goods; 7,451 tons of live shrimp, crab, and fish. Imported goods reached 19,351 tons of miscellaneous goods, down 23% over the same period in 2023.

Total import-export turnover of goods as of September 6 reached more than 2.7 billion USD, up 24% over the same period in 2023. Of which, exports reached 1.708 billion USD, imports 997.4.8 million USD.
Currently, there are 1,123 enterprises carrying out import-export procedures through Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, an increase of 261 enterprises compared to the same period last year, with 576 new enterprises carrying out import-export procedures through the Branch. State budget revenue reached 1,606.2 billion VND, an increase of 50% compared to the same period in 2023.
