According to information from Bac Phong Sinh Customs, from January 1, 2025 to April 8, the total import and export turnover of goods through Bac Phong Sinh (Vietnam) - Ly Hoa (China) Customs Clearance reached more than 14.6 million USD, down nearly 45% compared to the same period in 2024.

Specifically, as of April 8, 2025, the total import-export turnover through this customs clearance reached 14,660,697 USD with 715 declarations, down 44.9% in turnover, down 51.06% in declarations. Of which: Imports reached 830,862 USD with 57 declarations, up 17.5% in turnover, down 8.06% in declarations; Exports reached 4,033,125 USD with 96 declarations, down 71.62% in turnover, down 72.65% in declarations; goods for border residents reached 9,796,710 USD with 562 declarations, down 16.2% in turnover, down 46.37% in declarations.

Total state budget revenue from import-export activities by April 8, 2025 reached more than 2.8 billion VND.

The reason why the import and export turnover of goods through this customs clearance route decreased sharply compared to the same period is because China increased the time for checking goods and increased the amount of time for actual inspection of goods on a shipment.

Along with that, from March 8, 2025, the fee for using infrastructure works, service works, and public utilities in the Bac Phong Sinh Customs Clearance Area in particular and the border gates in Quang Ninh in general will increase compared to the previous period, so some businesses will shift their export of goods to road border gates in other provinces.
