PSG consider signing Marco Asensio on free transfer
In the latest press conference, PSG head coach Christophe Galtier confirmed that this weekend's match against Clermont will be Messi's last appearance for PSG.
The Argentine star's contract with PSG is about to expire and the two sides have not reached an agreement to renew it. That means Messi will leave Paris as a free player.
It didn't take long for the rich French man to immediately find a way to replace Messi without spending a transfer fee.
AS newspaper, close to the Royal team, said that Marco Asensio is preparing to sign a 5-year contract with PSG.
Asensio's contract with Real Madrid expires this month so he joins the reigning Ligue 1 champions on a free.
Aston Villa and Liverpool tried to lure the Spanish striker to the Premier League. However, Asensio himself felt that the French football environment was more suitable for him.
In addition, PSG meets all requirements in terms of salary and signing fee to have the service of Marco Asensio.

Some information about PSG, Messi
Coach Galtier said at a press conference today: "I was lucky to coach the best player in football history. This will be his last match at the Parc des Princes. I hope he will receive a warm welcome.
This year, he has been important to the team, always ready to play. I don't think any comments or criticism are appropriate."
Messi will play in the final game of the season against Clermont this weekend as PSG have already won Ligue 1. The Parisian club have dominated the French national championship for the past decade, winning nine of the last 11 seasons.
Messi has scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists for PSG this season but his relationship with the club and fans has deteriorated since the team failed to get past the Champions League round of 16 in March.
According to Sky Sports, Messi's contract signed with PSG in the summer of 2021 included a clause that could be extended for another year, and that did not happen.
Messi's departure from Paris also fits with the club's new strategy of focusing on young French talent rather than signing superstars.
Sky Sports also reported that coach Xavi has asked the board to bring Messi back to the Nou Camp this summer. But the former Barca star and former teammate of Messi added that this depends on the Argentine superstar.
During his nearly 20 years with the Catalan team, Messi was honored as a legend with 672 goals in 778 matches. His departure from Barca in the summer of 2021 was unexpected because the team could not renew his contract due to financial problems.
The Argentine striker still believes he can play at the highest level in Europe and is said to prefer a move to the continent rather than to Inter Miami or any other club in Major League Soccer or Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career.
Lionel Messi was born in 1987 and is an Argentine football superstar. He became famous for playing for Barca, from his teenage years until he became a legend of the team.
Messi has won all the collective titles such as La Liga (10 times), Copa del Rey (7 times), Spanish Super Cup (7 times), Champions League (4 times). He has also won the Golden Ball 7 times, all in Barca's colors.
At PSG, he won two Ligue 1 titles and a French Super Cup.
In the Argentina national team, he won the 2022 World Cup and the 2021 Copa America.
