The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Loc district said that in the past 5 years, the district-level Front has organized 37 supervision meetings and commented on 9 projects and documents; the commune-level Front has supervised 94 meetings and commented on 55 projects and documents.
The Front also coordinated with the People's Council, People's Committee, Procuracy and functional departments and branches of the district in 157 supervision sessions. The People's Inspectorate supervised 102 sessions, and the Community Investment Supervision Board supervised 118 sessions.
When supervising, the Front proactively selects content and subjects and presides over the supervision of many contents directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of union members, association members and people of all walks of life. Thanks to that, the supervision activities are increasingly in-depth, strict and effective.
Through the social criticism activities of the Front, it contributes to ensuring the necessity, appropriateness and feasibility of the Party and State's policies and guidelines in the district; suitable to local conditions, meeting the legitimate requirements, aspirations and interests of the people.
During the 2019 - 2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Loc district received support for COVID-19 prevention and control with an amount of more than 2.7 billion VND along with goods and necessities equivalent to nearly 1 billion VND. The Front from the district to the grassroots mobilized more than 1.8 billion VND along with hundreds of tons of food to support people in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City and the two communes of Dai Hong and Dai Son facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the Front from the district to the grassroots level has actively contributed ideas to build an effective Party and government. Of which, 189 "People's Forums" and 121 "Direct Dialogue" conferences have been organized between the heads of Party committees and governments and the people. Thereby, obstacles in the implementation of policies and laws have been promptly removed; and pressing issues in all areas of social life have been resolved.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Vu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Dai Loc District Party Committee assessed that thanks to focusing on innovating the content and methods of operation in a specific, practical and grassroots direction, in the 2019 - 2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district has achieved and exceeded most of the targets of the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Front.
The role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district are increasingly affirmed in the political system and social life. In the coming term, the District Front needs to further promote the great solidarity of the people, join hands to build Dai Loc district to develop comprehensively and sustainably, meeting the standards of a new rural district.
In particular, continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; effectively carry out emulation movements and campaigns; improve the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism activities...
“To effectively perform the function of social supervision and criticism, first of all, each Front official must grasp the reality of the work and the area; at the same time, promote political, professional and technical qualifications, especially demonstrating the ability to criticize the contents of socio-economic development in the district,” said Mr. Vu.
