Important notes when confirming admission to public grade 10 in Hanoi

Admission confirmation procedures are mandatory for all students who wish to study at the school they are admitted to.

If within the specified time, from 1:30 p.m. on July 5 to the end of July 7, students do not confirm their enrollment, it is considered that they do not wish to study at the school they have been admitted to. They will be removed from the school's admission list.

Students can confirm their admission in two ways, either in person at school or online at home.

Students confirm admission to public grade 10 from 1:30 p.m. July 5 to July 7.

Admission documents include: Confirmation of admission; Application for admission to grade 10 of the school; Junior high school transcript (original); Birth certificate (valid copy). In case of underage, there must be confirmation from the Department of Education and Training; notice of admission results to grade 10 issued by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Temporary junior high school graduation certificate (issued by the junior high school); citizen identification card of the student or the student's parents; documents confirming preferential treatment issued by competent authorities (if any).

After confirming enrollment, parents can register to buy school uniforms with the school. Schools will also distribute a list of textbooks that will be used at school in the next school year, parents can register to buy textbooks at the school if needed.

Hanoi Department of Education and Training noted that if you have passed your first choice, you will not be considered for your second and third choices . Students who do not pass your first choice will be considered for your second choice but must have an admission score at least 1 point higher than the school's admission score for your first choice. Students who do not pass your first and second choices will be considered for your third choice but must have an admission score at least 2 points higher than the school's admission score for your first choice.

In case the first choice school lowers the admission score, students can cancel the admission confirmation at the second choice school (or third choice) to confirm admission at the first choice (after the school lowers the admission score or is admitted after re-examination).

The time for receiving appeal applications and confirming admission for 10th grade students has been adjusted earlier than the previously announced schedule. Specifically, from July 1 to July 7, educational institutions will receive appeal applications from students, submit appeal applications and the list of students who have been appealed to the Department of Education and Training. Students who have been admitted after receiving the appeal results will enroll directly at the schools they have been admitted to on July 28.

During the admission confirmation period, if students and parents voluntarily submit their admission application, high schools will facilitate the examination and acceptance of the application according to the regulations of the Department. Hanoi students will submit their admission application from July 11 to 14.
