The Final Jury of the 18th National Press Awards - 2023 has completed the Final Judging Round and achieved the set goals.

The Council held an opening meeting for the final round, listened to the report on the results of the preliminary round, conducted appraisal, voted and considered awarding the 18th National Press Award - 2023. The Council members discussed thoroughly, impartially and selected 165 works for the final round with an objective and responsible spirit.

In his closing speech at the final round, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Final Round Council, stated that the entries for the Award met the selection criteria stated in the Selection Guidelines of the Award Council, comprehensively and deeply reflecting the political, economic, cultural, social, security, defense, and foreign affairs life of the country in 2023.

Many works are invested seriously and elaborately, the content is to discover new issues, criticize major policies of the Party and State; propose many creative solutions, good ways of doing things that have great influence and influence in society. Many works demonstrate professionalism, attractiveness, and the breath of modern journalism.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized: The Final Council highly appreciated the innovation in the structure and improvement of the appraisal quality of the Preliminary Council, and at the same time raised a number of issues that need to be learned for the following seasons, especially the selection work at the grassroots level and the propaganda and promotion work for some types of awards. On this occasion, the Council also gave opinions on a number of issues related to the organization of the Award. These opinions will be received, studied, supplemented and adjusted by the Standing Committee of the Award Council in the coming time.

Of the 165 works entered into the final round, the Council discussed, evaluated and voted to select 10 A prizes, 26 B prizes, 45 C prizes and 41 Encouragement prizes to award the 18th National Press Awards in 2023.

The award ceremony will be solemnly held on the evening of June 21, 2024 to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024).
