Provincial Road 827E project through Long An province has a total length of 35.6km
The DT827E project has a total length of 35.6km, passing through 4 districts of Long An province including Can Giuoc, Can Duoc, Tan Tru and Chau Thanh.
The starting point of the route is located at the border of Long An - Ho Chi Minh City (Long Hau commune, Can Giuoc district); the end point connects with Tien Giang province at Hiep Thanh commune, Chau Thanh district.
This route is expected to become an important urban traffic axis, facilitating trade and freight transport between Ho Chi Minh City and the southwestern provinces.
At the same time, the project will also promote the development of industrial parks, urban areas and economic centers along the route.
According to the proposal of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, the support capital from the central budget will be allocated to two main items. Specifically, 1,432 billion VND will be used to build access roads to 3 bridges on the DT827E route; of which, 200 billion VND will be needed in 2025, the remaining part will be implemented in the 2026-2027 period. The remaining 4,000 billion VND will be used for the remaining part of the route, with the planned capital for 2025 being 50 billion VND, the remaining part will be implemented from 2026-2028.
Previously, the Prime Minister approved the investment proposal for 3 bridges on Route DT827E (including bridges over Can Giuoc River, Vam Co Dong River and Vam Co Tay River) according to Decision No. 599/QD-TTg, dated July 5, 2024. This project will use foreign preferential loans (ODA).
The Long An Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is completing procedures for selecting a consulting contractor to prepare design documents, expected to be approved in July 2025, and construction to begin in August 2025.
Regarding site clearance, the Provincial People's Committee approved the project in Decision No. 13092/QD-UBND, dated December 16, 2024 and approved the policy of compensation, support and resettlement in Decision No. 13580/QD-UBND, dated December 26, 2024.
Districts where the road passes through are carrying out inventory work and holding meetings with residents to announce compensation plans and ensure progress in handing over the site to construction contractors.
According to the assessment, when completed, the DT827E route will not only help reduce traffic pressure on existing routes but also create development momentum for urban areas and industrial zones along the route.
In particular, with its strategic location, this route will contribute to expanding development space for the Mekong Delta region and the Southern Key Economic Zone./.
