Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 500kV transmission line circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that putting the project into operation has special significance in many aspects of economy, politics, society, security and national defense.
One of those important meanings was emphasized by the head of the Government, according to which this is a meaningful project for businesses and foreign investors in ensuring electricity supply, especially in high-tech fields, believing in the determination of the Vietnamese side " what is said is done, what is committed must be done, what is done, what is done has specific, measurable, and quantifiable results ".
Remember on June 26, 2024, when the construction progress at the 500KV line 3 project site was at its peak, in Dalian city, China, thousands of kilometers away from Vietnam, during a discussion with Professor Klaus Schwab and leaders of major corporations at the World Economic Forum (WEF), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh once again affirmed that Vietnam definitely does not lack electricity.
The important message emphasized by the Prime Minister is that Vietnam has been making efforts to implement synchronous measures to ensure electricity supply for the whole country. At the same time, Vietnam is strongly transitioning to clean energy and the Government will soon issue decrees on the direct power purchase mechanism (DPPA), encouraging the development of self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power and the development of power projects using natural gas and LNG.
The issue of stabilizing electricity supply has emerged as a top concern of FDI enterprises in Vietnam. At the conference of the Prime Minister meeting with the FDI business community and the annual Vietnam Business Forum 2024 (VBF 2024) held in March 2024, representatives of a number of business associations and FDI enterprises in Vietnam proposed providing sufficient electricity to ensure production and business activities, especially during the hot season; and having a mechanism to encourage enterprises to save and develop energy production.

At that conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a strong message in which ensuring energy security is one of the key guarantees of the Vietnamese Government to its partners, so that foreign investors can feel secure in developing investment projects in Vietnam.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade - the state management agency in the energy sector - has also firmly affirmed the need to balance electricity and ensure there is no shortage of electricity in any situation.
" We can affirm and commit that power shortages will not occur in 2024 and the following years. Besides, we are also committed to ensuring the stability and quality of power sources, " Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan stated.
It must be affirmed that efforts to ensure the stability and quality of power sources have always been one of Vietnam's top concerns in recent times. Vietnam always affirms that foreign-invested enterprises are an important part contributing to Vietnam's economic development. The success of FDI enterprises is also the success of Vietnam's economy, in line with the spirit of "harmonizing interests, sharing risks" and "working together, enjoying together, winning together and developing together".
Up to now, when the 500 kV circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project has been officially energized and put into operation, the new stable power source has been confirmed. The spirit of Vietnam always accompanying foreign investors has once again been strongly affirmed to investors who have been, are and will be present in Vietnam to join Vietnam in developing the country's infrastructure, contributing to the successful implementation of the strategic breakthrough in developing strategic infrastructure.
